Youth Coordinator Search: Given Pastor Bill's resignation at Pigeon River to serve St. Paul's Global Methodist Church in Elkton starting in September, the leadership team is beginning a search process for a part time, stipend youth coordinator. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more, a job description is available upon request from the office. Please direct any questions or suggestions to Pastor Dave or one of the elders. 

The Back to School Carnival will be Wednesday, September 3, from 5-7 p.m. at the church. We will be needing many volunteers to run the carnival games; there will be a sign-up form at the Welcome Desk if you would like to sign up to work during the carnival. There will also be a sign-up form at the Welcome Desk if you would like to bring some desserts for the cake walk at the carnival. Also, we are hoping to have some bigger carnival prizes for the children again this year and will be accepting donations of these prizes (examples include things like basketballs, footballs, super soakers, remote control cars, etc.). We will need these prizes by Sunday, August 31st; there will be a table in the foyer for these donations. If you have any questions, please contact Jenna Maust.

Next Sunday is Membership and Baptism Sunday for Tom and Brenda Kreh, Chris and Beth Hardenburg and Jenna Maust by confession of faith and Amy Kingsley and Phyllis Bartell by baptism. Due to this we will not have Sunday School next Sunday.

Many thanks to those who spent time, money and prayers for the Northern Michigan Relief Sale! God blessed us with wonderful weather and brought lots of people. Praise the Lord! Preliminary results for the sale, though expenses are not figured in yet. Auction, both general & quilts, & blessing bids $95,180; Booths $72,,155; donations $21,278 plus taxes brings the total to $193,404.
