Campfire & Testimonies: Wednesday, September 10, we will have a campfire at the church with Testimonies from Ruth Osborne, Scott Kingsley and Peggy Voelker. Mark your calendars and plan to join us for potluck @ 6 pm. More details to come. Our Wednesday evening activities will resume on September 17th. Block out this valuable time in your calendar each week to connect with your church family for potluck at 6 pm, followed with bible classes for all ages & adult choir.

Elders' Quarterly Update: The elders have placed a quarterly update in mailboxes. Please be sure to grab your copy and take a look at what they have been working at.

The fall session of Ladies Bible study will begin on Wednesday, September 10th @ 9 am. Topic to be determined, contact Phyllis Yoder if interested.

Youth Coordinator Search: Given Pastor Bill's resignation at Pigeon River to serve St. Paul's Global Methodist Church in Elkton starting in September, the leadership team is beginning a search process for a part time, stipend youth coordinator. If you or someone you know is interested in learning more, a job description is available upon request from the office. Please direct any questions or suggestions to Pastor Dave or one of the elders.

Are you or someone you know grieving the loss of a loved one? Consider attending GriefShare. This 13-week series will begin at noon on September 2 and will be held each Tuesday until November 25. Pick up a flyer at the Welcome Center and contact Marie to register.

The Back to School Carnival will be Wednesday, September 3, from 5-7 p.m. at the church. We will be needing many volunteers to run the carnival games; there will be a sign-up form at the Welcome Desk if you would like to sign up to work during the carnival. There will also be a sign-up form at the Welcome Desk if you would like to bring some desserts for the cake walk at the carnival. Also, we are hoping to have some bigger carnival prizes for the children again this year and will be accepting donations of these prizes (examples include things like basketballs, footballs, super soakers, remote control cars, etc.). We will need these prizes by next Sunday, August 31st; there will be a table in the foyer for these donations. If you have any questions, please contact Jenna Maust.

Attention Moms, Grandmothers, Aunt, Friend, any woman!

Would you like to make a difference in the lives of children , as well as their schools and work places? Start or join a Moms in Prayer support group. This is a group of women who meet once a week for one hour to intercede on behalf of children.

Prayer is the answer! If you would like to know how to start a group or join an existing group contact Suzanne Gascho, Brenda Kreh, or Dana Reiter.

Current groups meet at Pigeon River, Tuesdays at 9:00 am and Wednesdays at 7:30 am.

Does the Bible feel too intimidating and complex? Does understanding it feel impossible, so you don’t even try? In this six-week study, we want to help you understand why the Bible is the greatest tool we have. We want to open your eyes to the way the Old Testament and New Testament connect and show you the purpose of each book of the Bible.  Join a new evening bible study starting mid September. Contact Emily if interested & check out the content here: RightNowMedia women's study
