THE ACT OF DEDICATION

PASTOR: We set apart this portion, Fellowship Hall, of Emanuel Baptist Church, to further the worship of the true and living God, and to the service of His one and only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

CONGREGATION: We devote this building as a place where we, as

 members of God’s family, may come together and enjoy sweet

 fellowship.

PASTOR: We offer heart-felt thanks to our heavenly Father, who is indeed the giver of every good and perfect gift, and whose beneficence has made it possible for us to have this building.

CONGREGATION: We further name this the Elwood Green, Jr.

Fellowship Hall; in honor of the late Deacon Chairman Elwood Green, Jr. whose dedication to the Lord’s work and untiring commitment to this the Emanuel Baptist Church.

PASTOR: In all our activities we ask for divine wisdom, that we might heed the admonition of Paul, “Whether, then you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”

CONGREGATION: May no unholy spirit of pride or worldliness find

 entrance here.

PASTOR: That the glory of God, our Father, would always be our abiding guest when we assemble.
