NEW MESSAGE SERIES | Pastor Marlin begins a new message series next Sunday called, “Lies Christians Believe.”

ADULT BIBLE CLASS ELECTIVES | Beginning Sept 12, there will be two adult electives at 9:00 am every Sunday: “Parent Talk” and “The Book of James”. Sign up at the main bulletin board for the class you would like to attend.

MINISTRIES TEAMS MEETINGS | Sunday, September 12 at 11:30 am. A light lunch will be served by the Christian Education and Women’s Ministries Teams before our meetings. Consider joining one of these teams!

SMALL GROUP BIBLE STUDIES | Please direct your Bible study info to the church as soon as possible.

·  The Men’s Bible Study resumes Monday, September 13 at 7:00 PM at the church.

·  The Women’s Bible Study begins again on Wednesday, Sept 15 at 9:00 AM at the church. “Women of the Bible” will be the topic. Childcare is available. Sign up for the Ladies Study in the back.

·  The Tower/Soudan Area Bible Study starts back up on Thursday, Sept 16 at 6:00 PM, location to be determined.

·  The Mesabi East Area Bible Study will kick off Tuesday, October 5 at 6:30 PM, at the Filanders’ home.

WOMEN’S RETREAT | September 17-19 at Miracle Bible Camp.

DLBC WORK DAY | Saturday, September 18 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Lunch will be provided.

KIDS ON THE ROCK | The KOTR kick-off will be Wednesday, Sept 22 at the Bjornrud home at 4:00 PM. Kids on the Rock is for children ages 4th-6th grade.

Colleges have started up again for the year and Adam Roub (CRU) is asking for prayer for students to make healthy choices about “where can I find something to satisfy the longings and emptiness I feel inside.” The Roubs have conducted student leadership courses and recruited at UM Duluth, UW Superior, Lake Superior College, Itasca Community College, and Vermilion Community College. Anthony and Hannah Bermel conducted their first VCC Bible study last Thursday night. Adam shared a praise that seven students gave their hearts to Jesus at the Itasca CC open house recently.
