  • Matthew 9:10–13 NIV
While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

    Not Ok

    Invite Jesus In

God has accepted you, now you have to let Him in
He needs to see your house
Matthew didn’t have time to prepare
You ever been hit by the Holy Spirit right where you are and you weren’t ready?
God is preparing you for the unpredictable
But something about this Jesus fellow, made him throw a feast
Something about the name Jesus mad got him excited
How many know that when you accept Jesus and invite Him into your home, he will speak to your situation
He will speak to your hangups
    He’ll speak to your insecurities
    He’ll speak to your problems
He’ll speak to the toxicity in your life
But you gotta invite Him in!
One of the reasons Jesus called Levi, was because he knew who Levi was hanging with.
    It’s like baking bread.
How many of y’all know that when you allow Jesus in your life, it’s like a fire shut up in my bones
I may not have it all together
I may not be where I want to be
I may not be who I want to be yet
but be careful hanging around me because you might just catch a contact
I can’t be who I used to be
I hang out the way I used to hang out
I can’t cuss as much as I used to cus (I'm still working on it)
I can’t lie like I used to lie
I can’t treat folk the way I used to treat folk
because I let this man named Jesus into my life
and if you’re around me long enough you’re gonna start feeling it too.
