    What practically can we do?

Think Clearly about how this circumstance compares and relates to the eternal plan and promise of God.
    Permission to talk to yourself
Speak to ourselves about the circumstance from what we know is true rather than allowing the circumstance to speak to us.
Speak Truly - preach the good news to yourself, even if there is a disconnect between mind and emotion in the moment.
The same things which you would do for a brother or sister who had an ear open.
    Encourage
    Exhort
    Admonish and Teach

    4. Do Right - What you know should be done, what you know must be done.
not just daily chores and administration
Hope in God - the turn
