FAITH IS A JOURNEY – Part 6

I.         Seek to ___________ your ________________ of Jesus.

Before the coming of Jesus, John preached repentance and baptism to all

the people of Israel.                                                                     Acts 13:24

As John was completing his work, he said:  'Who do you think I am?  I am

not that one.  No, but He is coming after me, whose sandals I am not

worthy to untie.'                                                                            Acts 13:25

II.        Help people to _____________ Jesus as ___________.

"Brothers, children of Abraham, and you God-fearing Gentiles, it is to us

that this message of salvation has been sent.  The people of Jerusalem and

their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning him they fulfilled

the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.

                                                                                                   Acts 13:26-27

Though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, they asked

Pilate to have Him executed.  When they had carried out all that was written about Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him

In a tomb.                                                                                          Acts 13:28-29

III.       Give your ______________ of the __________ Jesus.

But God raised him from the dead, ….                                   Acts 13:30

…and for many days He was seen by those who had traveled with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem.  They are now His witnesses to our people.

                                                                                                      Acts 13:31

Next Steps

NEXT STEPS

1.       Build on the basics of your faith daily as you get into

God’s Word and let it take over your life in words

and actions. Become a lifetime learner of Jesus so

you know Him more intimately and fully follow Him.

Beware of following a personality other than Jesus.

2.       Allow God to stretch your faith as He uses you and I

to help people to finally recognize that Jesus is the

only Savior of the world. Others have rejected Him.

But, we don’t want anyone to miss His salvation. By

faith in Jesus, you are saved and that’s the truth.

3.       You are God’s witness to the reality of Jesus being

raised from the dead. Without a resurrection, there

is no salvation. But, you and I know that God raised

Jesus from the dead and therefore gives new and

eternal life to all who believe in Him. Can Jesus get

a witness to stand up for Him? Will you be one?
