FAITH IS A JOURNEY – Part 11

I.         ____________ to grow and _____________ growth.

They preached the good news in that city and won a large number of

disciples.                                                                                                    Acts 14:21a

Then they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the

disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith.  "We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.

                                                                                                         Acts 14:21b-22

II.        ___________ God’s ____________ to assist you.

Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put

their trust.                                                                                                   Acts 14:23

After going through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia, and when they

had preached the word in Perga, they went down to Attalia.

                                                                                                        Acts 14:24-25

III.       ____________ to _____________ God’s purpose.

From Attalia they sailed back to Antioch, where they had been committed to the grace of God for the work they had now completed.

                                                                                                                   Acts 14:26

On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how He had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. And they stayed there a long time with the disciples.

                                                                                                             Acts 14:27-28

NEXT STEPS

1.       Allow God to continually grow your faith in Him as

He sends you out daily to serve Him. Endure any

and all hardships that come your way which will set

an example for other disciples of Jesus to follow.

2.       Allow God to use others in your life to help further

His church. Follow Jesus’ model as He gathered His

12 disciples around Him, taught them and sent them

on their journey of faith. This has greater results.

3.       Allow God to build your persistence along your faith

journey to complete His purpose. Follow Jesus as

He sacrificed His will to do all the Father wanted of

Him. Then, He appeared to many and encouraged

them to further His work until He returns.

Special Projects Account: The replacement of broken air conditioners in the sanctuary began this past week. A new unit was installed on the roof and a new air handler was installed in the ceiling.

The Special Projects Account has a balance of $10,936.43 as of 7/22/2021. This balance will decrease when the final bill comes in for the new unit installed on the roof and new air handler installed in the ceiling.

Thank you for the donations that made the start of replacing old, broken, and inefficient units possible!

There is still a need for one more unit in the sanctuary and to replace the broken units in the basement area, no air conditioning currently in the Fellowship Hall. These are the larger more expensive units.

The non-efficient and broken older slide in wall units in the youth room and in the secretary’s office will be replaced in the next couple of weeks.

We will begin purchasing the new units for the sanctuary and basement when the funding is available.

If you would like to donate, please mark “Special Project” on an envelope and place it in the offering plate. Your support of Blue Rock is appreciated!

For questions about the installation of the new units, please see Lee Eisenhard.

For questions about the finances, please see Pam Hinkle

                                                                    Thank you!
