Benvenuto! Welcome!
It is a pleasure to have you worship with us this morning!
New Life Church of Vicenza exists to glorify God and enjoy Him by growing in and sharing our new life in Christ with U.S. military personnel and their families, and the local community in and near Vicenza.
Schedule of Events:
* Sunday School (Adult/Children) - 9:30am.
* Sunday Worship Service – 10:30am (Nursery provided up to 4 yrs old).
The Gospel:
1. We were created to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. (Gen 1:26)
2. But all have sinned and stand condemned before God. (Rom 3:23)
3. Jesus died on the cross for sins and rose bodily from the grave so that we could be forgiven and have a relationship with God. (John 3:16)
4. By God’s grace, all who turn from their sins and trust in Christ alone to save them are given the free gift of eternal life. (Eph 2:8-9)
5. Would you like to receive God’s free gift of eternal life? Here’s a suggested prayer: “Lord, I have sinned against you. I believe that Jesus is fully God and man. He died on the cross and rose bodily from the grave to save sinners like me. I turn from my sins and trust in you alone to save me and commit my life to you. Amen.”

Call to Worship: Psalm 24
Leader: The earth is the LORD's and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein...
People: Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully.
Leader: Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
People: Who is this King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle!
Leader: Lift up your heads, O gates! And lift them up, O ancient doors, that the King ALL: Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory! Selah
Song: In Christ Alone (Matthew Smith)
In Christ alone my hope is found, He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid ground, Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease
My Comforter, my All in All, Here in the love of Christ I stand.
In Christ alone, who took on flesh, Fullness of God in helpless babe
This gift of love and righteousness, Scorned by the ones He came to save
‘Til on that cross as Jesus died, The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid, Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay, Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day, Up from the grave He rose again
And as He stands in victory, Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine, Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death, This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath, Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man, Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘Til He returns or calls me home, Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand
First Reading: Isaiah 53
Song: Behold Our God (Sovereign Grace Music)
Who has held the oceans in His hands? Who has numbered every grain of sand?
Kings and nations tremble at His voice, All creation rises to rejoice
CHORUS: Behold our God seated on His throne, Come, let us adore Him
Behold our King! Nothing can compare, Come, let us adore Him!
Who has given counsel to the Lord? Who can question any of His words?
Who can teach the One Who knows all things?
Who can fathom all His wondrous deeds?
CHORUS
Who has felt the nails upon His hands, Bearing all the guilt of sinful man?
God eternal humbled to the grave, Jesus, Savior risen now to reign!
Refrain: You will reign forever
CHORUS
Confession of Sin: 1 Pet 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Question for Reflection: Do I share the excellencies of the gospel with others, or do I allow fear or apathy to silence me?
Silent Confession/Corporate Confession of Sin: O Lord, by your sovereign grace you have made us your own possession and call us to boldly share the gospel with others. Yet, we confess that we have not been faithful witnesses for you. Forgive us as we turn from our sin and rest in the forgiveness that we have in Christ who bore our sins on the cross. Fill us anew with your Holy Spirit and empower us to faithfully and boldly declare the good news of the gospel with the people that you put in our lives. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen.
Assurance of Pardon: 1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
Leader: Brothers and sisters, this is the Gospel!
People: Thanks be to God!
Affirmation of Faith: WLC 53: How was Christ exalted in his ascension?
People: Christ was exalted in his ascension, in that having after his resurrection often appeared unto and conversed with his apostles, speaking to them of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God, and giving them commission to preach the gospel to all nations, forty days after his resurrection, he, in our nature, and as our head, triumphing over enemies, visibly went up into the highest heavens, there to receive gifts for men, to raise up our affections thither, and to prepare a place for us, where himself is, and shall continue till his second coming at the end of the world.
Second Reading: Romans 12
Song: Grace (CityAlight)
Your grace that leads this sinner home, From death to life forever
And sings the song of righteousness, By blood and not by merit
Your grace that reaches far and wide, To every tribe and nation
Has called my heart to enter in, The joy of Your salvation
CHORUS: By grace I am redeemed, By grace I am restored
And now I freely walk, Into the arms of Christ my Lord
Your grace that I cannot explain, Not by my earthly wisdom
The Prince of life, without a stain, Was traded for this sinner
CHORUS
Into the arms of Christ my Lord, Let praise rise up and overflow
My song resound forever, For grace will see me welcomed home
To walk beside my Savior
CHORUS 2X
Congregational Prayers:
The Lord’s Prayer: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
