The Call to Worship
1 Peter 2:4-5; Hebrews 13:15
As we come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, we ourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.
The Ascription of Praise
Isaiah 28:16; Psalm 118:22–25, 29
Thus says the Lord: Behold, I will lay for the foundations of Zion a precious, choice stone, a highly valued cornerstone for its foundations, and the one who believes in him will not be put to shame.
The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. This is the Lord’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Save us, we pray, O Lord! O Lord, we pray, give us success!
Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever!

The Call to Confession
Psalm 119:174-176
I long for your salvation, O Lord, and your law is my delight. Let my soul live and praise you, and let your rules help me. I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant, for I do not forget your commandments.
The Silent Confession of Sin
The Corporate Confession of Sin
Search us, O God, and know our hearts! Try us and know our thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in us, and lead us in the way everlasting! O Righteous Father, you read our hearts; they lie open before you like a book. You know our sins even better than we do: the willful offenses from which we must be saved, the trespasses in which we are so often, even if unwittingly, taken, the faults which we are slow to confess even to ourselves, our fearful hesitation and apathy in doing the work of your Kingdom.
Forgive us Lord, we pray, for the sake of Jesus Christ, your beloved Son. Help our infirmities, take away our selfishness, and fill our hearts with the strength and courage of a perfected love, which casts out all fear. Hear now our private confessions for the sake of Jesus Christ our Lord. AMEN.
The Assurance of Pardon
1 Peter 2:24-25
Jesus himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed. For you were straying like sheep, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. AMEN.

The Confession of our Faith
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father, Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost; Born of the Virgin Mary; Suffered under Pontius Pilate; Was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; The third day he rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven; And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; The holy catholic Church; The communion of saints; The forgiveness of sins; The resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. AMEN.
The Peace
You were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. The peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
And also with you.
