  • Last week we saw the Beast from the Sea, the Anti-christ, the son of Satan, the great red dragon. the man behind a world wide earthly kingdom risen out of the Revived Roman Empire presented in Daniel 7.
    The plan and action of this Beast will be to get every living soul on earth to bow and worship Satan and its human dictator, his son, the antichrist.
    However, our purpose is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
    Revelation 13:9 KJV 1900
    9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.
    Revelation 13:10 KJV 1900
    10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
    Patience = steadfastness = does mean just passively bearing things; but rather courageously accepting the worst that life can do, and turning it into glory.
    Faith = loyalty = that fidelity which will never waver in its utter devotion to its Master and its Lord.
    Brute force will never defend against Satan forces. It will be then as it is now. Eph 6:10

    11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
    Our Battle is not a fleshly battle. It is a spiritual battle. We win by our WITNESS.
    We can not allow the FEAR or FAVOR of mankind to replace our Faith.
    We need to be FOREVER COMMITTED to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
    So, today we will be introduced to the 3rd person of the UNHOLY Trinity, The False Prophet.
    With this TRIO, we find the mockery and mimicking of the Holy Trinity.
    Last week, the Antichrist mocked Jesus Christ by dying and being resurrected. However, the difference is great.
    Jesus Christ died of a Heart Wound and the Antichrist died of a Head Wound.
    Jesus died for your Salvation.
    The Antichrist died for His Deification.
    This week, the False Prophet will imitate the Priestly duties of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.
    Together with Satan, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet, the world will be united religiously, politically, and economically.

    11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: 17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

    The Personality of the Beast:

    Revelation 13:11 KJV 1900
    11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
    another = “another of the same kind and quality.” This beast will also be a man like the first beast. However, Jesus warned in the Sermon on the Mount,
    Matthew 7:15 KJV 1900
    15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
    Notice first of all this beast’s appearance:

    His Appearance:

    “two horns like a lamb”
    We have discovered 2 of the symbols mentioned here while studying the book of Revelation.
    “horn’s” = power or authority, power, ruler, king.
    “lamb” = the identification of Jesus Christ in Rev 5:6

    6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
    He is different from the first beast in that his 2 horns have no crown where as the first beast, the antichrist had 10 horns with 10 crowns.
    The first beast is described in terrifying language, as a leopard, a lion, and a bear. However, this beast is called “a lamb”.
    The first beast came with power and dominance. This beast comes much more peaceful, gentle, meek, and loving diplomat. He will be a religious leader.
    While the Antichrist will rule the world with brute force, this man will attract the world through his pleasant personality and pleasing words.
    Now we come to the 3rd symbol mentioned with this beast.

    His Allegiance:

    “he spake as a dragon”
    “dragon” = another name of Satan, the devil, the Great Red Dragon cast from Heaven in the last chapter.
    He may look innocent but his mouth gives him away.
    We have all heard the phrase, “you can’t judge a book by the cover.” This is never more true than of this False Prophet, the beast from the earth.
    Again, Jesus gave us this clue about identifying evil people.

    34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
    The lying deception of this beast is now going to come even more clearer as we look to the next verse.

    12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

    The Power of the Beast:

    He will be a supporting character in Jerusalem “before” the resurrected first beast, the antichrist.
    Even though the second beast will have all the ruling power and authority of the Antichrist, he will never seek his own recognition or worship. He will only direct everyone’s attention to the Antichrist, the first beast, the express image of Satan himself.
    He will lead the entire world to engage in idolatry and worship of the first beast. He will be the force making the worship of the Antichrist universal as a god with sole rights of all earthly worship. He will imitate the role of the Holy Spirit’s relationship to the Son, Jesus Christ.
    All religious groups, backgrounds, and affiliations will unite in worship before the Antichrist, acknowledging the work of the Antichrist.
    How will he be able to do this? Notice:

    The Performance of the Beast:

    Miracles:

    Revelation 13:13 KJV 1900
    13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
    “Wonders” = signs or miracles.
    The False prophet will be a man of miracles. He will use these wonders duplicated from the 2 Witnesses we discussed in Rev. 11. He will also duplicate the miracle of Elijah in 1 Kings 18, when Elijah called down fire from Heaven.

    14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
    He will use this to affirm to the world the Antichrist is the unifying god to be worshipped.
    He will lead the world to build an idol, an image of the Antichrist. He will make that image come alive, I believe much like we are using AI technology today to cause this image to speak to the people.
    Everyone will be deceived by his power and his miracles and they will readily fall down and worship the beast and his image.
    We see this happening today as everyone seems to be looking for signs and miracles rather that listening and obeying His Word.

    3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

    Murders:

    Revelation 13:15 KJV 1900
    15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
    However, everyone that will not bow will be murdered. The spirit of antichrist is already working to promote this mindset throughout the world, academics, religion, and the media will allow you to worship anything anyway you want except for Christians and Jews. They want us dead and removed. This will not change.
    There will be MIRACLES,
    There will be MURDERS,
    and there will be a

    Mark:

    Revelation 13:16 KJV 1900
    16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
    Why a mark?
    Satan in his drive for world worship wants to make sure everyone is in submission and central control. There will be no buying, selling, or surviving without the mark and identification of the Beast.
    God marked His people in Revelation 7:3

    3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.
    with a seal on their foreheads and the Second Beast will mark his people also.
    Revelation 13:17 KJV 1900
    17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
    David Platt said it rightly, “Mark it down: there will always be a price to pay for believers who do not worship the idols of this world. Life will not be easy in this world when you fight the idolatry of this world plain and simple.”

    18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
    Everyone will come together to worship this god-like man. But, he is ONLY a man; he is not God.
    We will look at this number more in detail tonight, but the wisdom is he is only a man.
    Jesus Christ is the only man that is both man and God. He exclusively is worthy of our worship.
    The question is? Is Jesus Christ your Lord?
    Everybody worships someone or something.
    Whom or what do you worship?
    Whom or what do you follow or chase?
    Have you removed every idol in your life to give exclusive worship to the Living Lord Jesus Christ, King of kings and Lord of lords?
    We are seeing the spirit of antichrist in the world today preparing mankind to be deceived to accept and worship the Antichrist.
    Listen, there is no hope outside of Jesus Christ!
    Our faith, our worship, our confidence, should be in Jesus, the Kingdom of God, a bloody cross and an empty grave.
    Don’t be deceived, God is not mocked. Follow Jesus, Trust Jesus, Worship Jesus. ONLY JESUS.

    6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

    24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
    There are three different audiences that are listening this morning.
    Some of you are rejoicing as we go through Revelation because of the hope and joy of Jesus Christ. It shows on your faces and is demonstrated in your life.
    Some of you look scared…even troubled… lacking hope or assurance. You can find hope today.
    However, it is the 3rd group of you that is disturbing as we study Revelation. There are those of you that seem to appear totally indifferent. You are not worried about your future at all. You are only interested in you.
    Don’t be indifferent. Be proactive. Find the hope and joy in Jesus Christ.
