Special Congregational Meeting Oct. 31st
Please plan to join us after the service for a short congregational meeting to discuss the use of the church field to install an off-leash dog park.
The off-leash dog park is an initiative that serves the community by providing a much hoped-for service. There has been over 80 comments on an informal Facebook poll and almost 800 signatures of support for a park during the last couple years.
By using our unused field, this is a great opportunity to serve the community, promote goodwill towards the church and build awareness of our building and programs.
The dog park will be beside the community garden and will stretch to the fence at the forest. In the future, there will be a loop trail in the forest for walking.
The park will be built and run by a committee who will be responsible for making sure it is clean, stocked with supplies, and kept in good repair. Steve Lemke will be part of the committee and will be the liaison with the church.
Requires no monetary contribution from the church, although the elders may choose to designate some funds from the evangelism budget to assist the project.
The meeting will be a time to ask questions, express interest and be part of the conversation about how we steward our resources (in this case, our land) for the glory of God.
If you call Arrow Lakes Alliance Church home, we invite you to be part of this conversation.
For any questions before the meeting regarding the park, please contact Steve Lemke @ firstname.lastname@example.org
