Bear River East Baptist Church (NS)

Weekly Info June 05th, 2020

Hello Folks:

Friday's seem to slide around very quickly, even though we are restricted to where we can go and what we can do. There is no definite information as to when we will be able to worship in our church building again. So, this info sheet and doing online messages/Bible studies, will be the norm for awhile.

A special thank you to the group of nine people who got together last week and cleaned the new addition. The sanctuary is now mostly ready, waiting for the pews/chairs to be moved in. The kitchen is not finished as of yet, but is progressing along nicely.

You are receiving this bulletin info through email, but it is also posted on our website. Go to bearrivereastbaptistchurch.com. and click on connect and then bulletin.

Weekly Devotional - Celebrate The Small Stuff Ezra:3:8-13

Praise is a decision you make because you believe God is good. We praise him because he is powerful. We praise Him because he is faithful. We Praise him because he is always working his plan.

The nation of Israel was in the process of rebuilding the temple. They had raised the funds and collected the building materials. They had organized the workers and set construction schedules. They had a vision of what it would look like when it was finished. They dreamed of the days they would once again offer sacrifices in the presence of God.

But the work was just getting started. At the point in the story described in Ezra 3, the Israelites had only completed the foundation. Months of hard work lay ahead of them. But they celebrated anyway. The priest put on their robes, the musicians warmed up their voices and their instruments, and the people gathered together to worship.

Each one of us should look for ways to praise God. If you finish a project at work, praise God. If you make it home safely from a day trip, praise God. If you complete anything on your to-do-list praise God. If you get along with the important people in your life, praise God. if you have resolved a conflict with someone this past week praise God.

Think about the things happening in your life right now that can give you an opportunity to celebrate. Choose one that you would ordinarily take for granted, and celebrate the victory.

In your prayers, thank Jesus for the little things you can celebrate this week. Ask for the insight to recognize them.

Please let us know how we are doing and if there is anything we can do for you during this time in our lives.

God Bless You, Stay Safe
