WE EXTEND OUR CHRISTIAN SYMPATHY to Vern Ammerman in the

death of his dear wife, Gladys, this past Tuesday. We pray that Vern

and his family will experience God’s peace as they mourn her loss.

BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS to John Maas who turns 81 on Wednesday

and Corky Vander Wal who turns 95 next Sunday!

THANKSGIVING EVE SERVICE: Please join us at 7pm Wednesday for

our Thanksgiving Eve service. Last week you received a list from the

deacons of worthwhile Christian causes that Bethel supports and

that you are invited to contribute to using the envelope that was

placed in your church mailbox.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE: As we reflect on our many blessings

this Thanksgiving season, let us not forget those in our community

who need our help, particularly with putting food on the table. The

deacons invite you to bring bags of nonperishable food to the table

today or Wednesday, Nov. 21 for our Thanksgiving Eve service. Your

donations will go to the Project Hope food bank to help provide food to needy families. Thank you!

FROM THE COUNCIL: Thank you to everyone who attended and

participated in the congregational meeting last Tuesday. Please pray for and encourage the newly elected office bearers: elders, John Schouten, Tim Holleman and John Hiemstra (two-year term);

deacons, Ken Herwerden, Norene Van Andel and Ken Vander Veen.

Thank you also to Brent Van Dalen and Kevin Te Velde for agreeing to be nominated.
