FROM THE COUNCIL: Please plan to attend one or both of two town hall meetings scheduled for this Wednesday, February 20 at 7pm and next Monday, February 25, also at 7pm. A suggestion/question box is in the narthex for those who either cannot attend or do not wish to voice their questions in public. Please include your name and whether or not you want to remain anonymous. 

 

VESPER SERVICE: Group two will lead the service at CHCC today at 2 pm: Marv Apol, Peter & Jo Mans, Joan Vander Haak, Denise Storteboom, Tim & Mary Pitcher, Doug & Norene Van Andel, Marlo De Young, Janet Steiger, Joyce Kok. 


GEMS: Tomorrow night is the all-Whatcom County GEMS skating party at Lynden Skateway from 6:15-8:30 p.m. If you wish to pre-pay, please pay Julie Ball TODAY. You may still come if you do not pre-pay; you will just need to stand in line yourself. See you at Lynden Skateway!!


SENIOR BRUNCH POSTPONED: The Senior Valentine’s Brunch scheduled for this Wednesday has been postponed. There might be snow flurries and we want everyone to stay safe! We will schedule a Spring Brunch soon! 


OUTREACH COMMITTEE needs another member. Are you willing to join in helping us enfold the community with the love of Jesus? It's an exciting time at Bethel right now with our new ministries. Please consider being a part of our committee and His work.


WOMEN’S RETREAT: The retreat is right around the corner! Last week invitations/registrations were put in church boxes. If you did not receive one or misplaced it, there are more on the library table. Our retreat is March 22nd and 23rd.  We have a very exciting retreat planned for you. Shilo Taylor will be leading us through our theme ABIDE.  We also have fun games and activities planned and can’t wait to see you there! 


MISSING BOOKS: We are missing these library books in a series by author Alexander McCall Smith: The No.1 Ladies Detective Agency, and The Kalahari Typing School for Men. If you have them, please return them to the church library. 


THIRD CRC is inviting Bethel members to join their volunteer team going to Omak April 1-5 to help with its final disaster recovery project. They plan to work on two or more homes and outbuildings. Help is needed with interior painting, some carpentry work, fencing and clean up. Expenses (including motel lodging and meals prepared at a church) are provided except for transportation to and from the site. Families and individuals are encouraged to sign up soon.
