BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS to Pete Bosman who will celebrate his 95th birthday tomorrow, February 25!
PRAISE AND PRAYER service tonight. You are invited to share your favorite scripture, song, or how God is working in your life.
FROM THE COUNCIL: Thank you to everyone who attended and participated in the first town hall meeting. Our second meeting is set for tomorrow at 7pm. A suggestion/question box is in the narthex for those who either cannot attend or do not wish to voice their questions in public. Please include your name and whether or not you want to remain anonymous.
NEW CHURCH DIRECTORY: A new directory is being planned and everyone is asked to fill out the information form in your church mailbox and return it to the marked box in the library. Instead of using a professional photographer we are simply asking you to submit a photo (casual pictures such as those used on Christmas cards are great)! If you prefer for us to take a picture, please indicate that on the form. Pictures can be emailed as an attachment to office@bethelcrc.org. Questions and/or comments can be directed to Dorothy Greenough or Sherry Vos.
SHINE will not meet this Wednesday, February 27. Have a great mid-winter break!
NO SUNDAY SCHOOL next week, March 3.
ADVANCE NOTICE: Joint CRC evening service for crops and industry at Bethel on March 10.
OUTREACH COMMITTEE needs another member. Are you willing to join in helping us enfold the community with the love of Jesus? It's an exciting time at Bethel right now with our new ministries. Please consider being a part of our committee and His work. Contact Pastor Steve or Amy Vandenberg if interested.
BETHEL LADIES: The game night with the GEMS that was canceled due to snow on February 4 has now been rescheduled for Monday, March 4! We would love to have all ladies join us from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Please bring along a childhood photo or think of a memory from when you were between the ages of 7-14 that you could share with our GEMS. They would LOVE to hear your stories.
WOMENS RETREAT: The Women’s Retreat is almost here! Our spring retreat is on March 22nd and 23rd. We pray that it will be a weekend that draws you closer to Jesus and builds strong friendships. Because of the snowy weather, we have extended our deadline to March 3rd. Invitations were put in your church box and there are extra invitations on the library table. We hope to see you there!
HOST DORDT STUDENTS: We are looking for housing for Dordt students on March 13. They will need to be picked up from Lynden Christian High School after the band/orchestra concert and then brought back to LC the following morning around 8:00am. We are also looking for volunteers to make a dessert to serve to the students after their dinner on March 13. Please contact Donna Steiger if you are able to help out.
THIRD CRC is inviting Bethel members to join their volunteer team going to Omak April 1-5 to help with its final disaster recovery project. They plan to work on two or more homes and outbuildings. Help is needed with interior painting, some carpentry work, fencing and clean up. Expenses (including motel lodging and meals prepared at a church) are provided except for transportation to and from the site. Families and individuals are encouraged to sign up by next Sunday, March 3. For questions contact Jacki Matter or Herm Fransen.
NEWSLETTER: The March Envision Mission newsletter from Mitchell and Rochelle Senti is available on the back shelf for those who did not receive it electronically.
