CONGRATULATIONS to Paul and Carissa Hiemstra on the birth of a daughter, Shyla Janet, last Sunday, November 7! May God bless Paul and Carissa as they raise Shyla to love and serve Him.

PLEASE PRAY for Joan Smits who broke her shoulder recently and is recovering at home.

BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS to John Maas who will celebrate his 85th birthday next Sunday, November 21!

FROM THE COUNCIL: To encourage us to promote praying within our congregation the shepherding elders will be regularly sharing specific requests, prayer needs and occasions of thanksgiving in the bulletin. We will also be listing one family from each care community to pray for.

• Please pray for the Pastor Search Committee as they continue working on a list of potential pastors.

• Pray for the residents of Meadow Greens: Jeanette Eshuis, Grace Feddema, Harriet Haak, Betty Kaemingk, John Kooy and Homer Wigboldy.

• Members to pray for: Kevin and Laura Te Velde, Doug and Norene Van Andel, Ken and Barbara Vander Veen, and John and Jane Schouten.

THANKFUL PAPER: In your bulletin is a half-sheet of paper to provoke thoughts of gratitude for your family. Pastor Boonstra will offer instructions on behalf of Worship Committee to fill out and place in the box in the narthex as you leave today. Your submissions will shape part of our Thanksgiving Service coming up!

THANKSGIVING OFFERING: Your Thanksgiving envelope and a list of suggested ministries to give to are in your mailbox today. Please make all checks payable to Bethel CRC. If you are giving to more than one cause, please include an itemized list indicating the separate amounts to each cause. Offering envelopes may be placed in the baskets at our Thanksgiving Eve service or mailed to the church office. All unspecified gifts will go to the Lighthouse Mission.

GIVING FOR NEW WAY MINISTRIES: Once again, our local food bank is not in need of food currently. It was suggested instead to give items to New Way Ministries. The list of needed items is in your mailbox or on the back tables and items may be brought to church and placed on the table in the narthex through Thanksgiving.

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Sean Taylor of Sonlight CRC will lead us in worship.

THANKSGIVING EVE: Please join us for our Thanksgiving service on Wednesday, November 24 at 7 pm.

MEMBERSHIP CHANGE: At the November 2 council meeting it was approved to send the membership statement of Pastor Steve and Mandy Van Noort, Isabelle, Aiden and Carolyn to Redeemer Presbyterian Church of Detroit.

PING PONG TABLE NEEDED: If you have a portable ping pong table you are willing to donate to the church so that we can set it up in the basement fellowship room, please call Marv Apol. Thank you.

SNOW REMOVAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: If you are willing to be on call to help with snow removal when necessary, please add your name to the sign-up sheet on the library table.
