WE GIVE THANKS that Ivan Groen has returned home after surgery. Please continue to remember him in your prayers as he recovers.

JOHN AND ANNE MAAS have moved to Meadow Greens, Apt. 118. Please keep them in your prayers as they settle into their new home. 


HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Art Hommes who will celebrate his 80th birthday tomorrow, May 29 and to Ruth Tiersma who will celebrate her 93rd birthday on Tuesday, May 30! 

OUR ANNUAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING will be held this Thursday, June 1 at 7 pm in the basement and we look forward to your attendance. In addition to voting on the budget and selection of new office bearers the following items are on the agenda: 

• A proposal regarding the building fund

• An update from the Admin Team on current and upcoming projects

• Pastor Bryan will give a report and answer questions on the upcoming Synod. 

• Copies of the meeting agenda and revised budget (see attached note) are in your mailbox today. Absentee ballots are available from the elders. 


MT. VIEW CRC invites us to a combined service tonight at 6 pm followed by a time of fellowship.


NEXT SUNDAY we will serve donuts after the worship service to celebrate our graduates: Tyler Sipma—high school; Case De Jong and Sammie Bosman—eighth grade. 


PASTOR BRYAN will represent Classis North Cascades at Synod this year (June 8-15). Following Synod, he is taking a vacation. He will be gone June 5-27. If you have any needs during this time, please contact your care community elder. 


PINK BUCKET GALS: Summit House is collecting feminine personal hygiene products the next few weeks to share with homeless women living on the streets of Bellingham. A list of needed items is on the library table next to the pink bucket where your donations may be placed. Thank you.  


BACKPACK BUDDIES: During May we are collecting 16-ounce jars of peanut butter (any brand).
