BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS to Harriet Haak who will celebrate her 96th birthday on Thursday, April 11!

BLESSING SHOWER: Ladies (young and young at heart) are invited to celebrate God’s goodness to our church family this afternoon at a blessing shower from 2:30-4:00. We will celebrate life and love by “showering” our youngest member, Caleb David Vos (son of David and Elaine) and honoring Brittany (Rutgers) Leach, who married Christopher Leach on Aug. 5, 2018; Stephanie Korthuis, who is engaged to Derek Visser; and Chloe Templin, who is engaged to Jevin Holleman. Blessing cards are available on the library table so even if you are unable to come, we hope you will write a note to each person being honored. These cards can be a note of encouragement, a favorite verse or any bit of wisdom you would like to share. Please place the cards in the basket provided. You can bring a small gift if you choose, but there will be an opportunity to contribute to a group monetary gift.

FROM CHURCH COUNCIL: Please pray for this week's potluck and town hall meeting this Wednesday, starting at 6 pm. If you are unable to make it by 6 please come anyway as we expect there will be plenty of food! Please bring a salad or dessert; hospitality and council members will provide hot dishes and drinks. A nursery will be provided for the entire evening. Contact Cheri Rutgers if you plan on bringing your children. The town hall portion of the evening will be from 7:30-9:00 and you are welcome to join us at that time if you wish. We will gather into four age groups: middle and high school students, 20 to 40-year-olds, 40 to 60-year-olds, and 60 plus. A brief list of questions is in your church mailbox today. Prior to our meeting, we ask that you read these questions and pray about how you might answer them. The questions are simply to stimulate your mind on some of the topics council is seeking input on. If you have a chance, stop in the council room and look at the list of activities/duties Bethel is currently undertaking and also read the editorial by Shiao Chong in the March issue of The Banner. Thank you to everyone helping to organize this evening. We really appreciate our Bethel family and how we serve one another.
