WE EXTEND our Christian sympathy to Rod and Carol De Jong, Jeff and Kelly and Mark and Sara and families in the passing of Rod’s brother, Trent, in Michigan.

THIS MORNING we will have installation of elders and deacons. Thank you to our outgoing council members for their service and leadership. A special thank you to Keith Korthuis for serving a fourth year as elder and council president in 2019.

NEW COUNCIL: Please be in prayer for our 2020 council as they organize committees and begin a new year of service.

WORSHIP NOTES: This year we will be reading through the Heidelberg Catechism, using each Lord’s Day section as preparation for hearing God’s Word. The sermon topics will not necessarily build on the Q & A’s but we affirm these truths as faithfully teaching the gospel of Christ.

SENSORY ITEMS AVAILABLE: If you, your family members or friends can benefit from the use of sensory items (fidgets, weighted blankets, noise cancelling headphones, sensory cushions, etc.) they are available at the visitor center in the foyer. Please return them to the rack after use.

NEXT SUNDAY Pastor Russell Kent will lead our evening worship.

SUNDAY SCHOOL next week; off on January 19 for semester break.

NEXT SUNDAY January 12, at 9:15 am we are planning an intergenerational Sunday school activity for grades 7 - 12 and any adults willing to come and have some fun! There will be a sign-up sheet in the narthex for adults, but if you forget to sign, you are still welcome. There will be goodies!!

INCLUSION MINISTRY: You are encouraged to attend volunteer training for the inclusion ministry on January 5 and 19 at 9:20 am. Talk to Pastor Steve or Yuanita if you have any questions.

MATTHEW 28 group will be meeting Saturday, January 18, 8 am at McDonalds. Please join us as we talk about ways to share Jesus with others.

NEWSLETTERS: Extra copies from Envision Ministries and Brian and Bette Vander Haak are on the narthex table if you did not receive them electronically.

MISSIONARIES: Please remember the missionaries we support as they begin a new year of sharing the gospel and serving others.
