BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS to Peter Mans who will celebrate his 84th birthday Saturday, January 18 and to Erika Kean who will celebrate her 90th birthday next Sunday, January 19!
PLEASE REMEMBER Sue Meenderinck as she recovers from surgery.
WORSHIP NOTES: This year we will be reading through the Heidelberg Catechism, using each Lord’s Day section as preparation for hearing God’s Word. The sermon topics will not necessarily build on the Q & A’s but we affirm these truths as faithfully teaching the gospel of Christ.
WELCOME to Pastor Russell Kent who will lead our evening worship.
SHINE: Because it’s finals week we will have a movie night at youth group, weather permitting. If you need a study break, feel free to come and go. Snacks will be provided.
MATTHEW 28 group will be meeting this Saturday, January 18, 8 am at McDonalds. Please join us as we talk about ways to share Jesus with others. As it is written in Matthew 28: 19-20: Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
NO SUNDAY SCHOOL next week; semester break.
NEW DIRECTORY: New directories are on the library table. If the lettering is too small, let Sherry know and she can make you a large print copy of the addresses and phone numbers. The directory is also available online and on your cellphones—directions for accessing it electronically are in your mailbox today. If you wish to make a change in your family listing notify the church office and once it is inputted it will be available instantly online and on your phone. This also applies to updating your family picture. We have 75 copies of the directory printed; if more are needed they will be available this week.
INCLUSION MINISTRY: You are encouraged to attend volunteer training for the inclusion ministry on January 19 at 9:20 am. Talk to Pastor Steve or Yuanita if you have any questions. If you are unable to attend but would like to watch the videos on your own, please ask Pastor Steve for the website link.
SENSORY ITEMS AVAILABLE: If you, your family members or friends can benefit from the use of sensory items (fidgets, weighted blankets, noise cancelling headphones, sensory cushions, etc.) they are available at the visitor center in the foyer. Please return them to the rack after use.
