BIRTHDAY: On Wednesday, we wish a Happy 87th Birthday to Shirley DeBoer. May God be with you on your special day and always.

MEAL: Mandy Van Noort will be having surgery on May 15 to remove her gall bladder. Keep Mandy, Steve and the kids in your prayers for safe and speedy recovery. There will be no heavy lifting for 4 weeks afterwards. Our busy, active Mandy will be out of commission for a while. There are two nights that we can provide meals for them – Wednesday the 16th and Friday the 18th. Please either contact Dorothy Greenough or online at www.takethemameal.com; password is 0005. 

UPCOMING SERVICES:

• This morning, we will celebrate Communion, along with three Professions of Faith. 

• There will be no evening service tonight. 

• There will be a Joint CRC Evening Service May 27 at Mountainview CRC.

• In June, we will celebrate Graduation Sunday on the 3rd and Communion on the 10th.

• The morning worship service time will change to 10:00 on June 3.

CHRISTIAN ED FUND PLEDGE DRIVE 2018-2019: Please prayerfully consider giving to the Christian Education Fund for the upcoming year, supporting our young families. In order for this program to continuing blessing our covenantal kids, we need our full tuition payment fully covered by the money pledged. Please return completed pledge forms to the box on library table or dropped in offering bag by May 20, 2018. Questions? SECRETARY POSITION: Please welcome Sherry Vos as she begins her duties as Bethel Church Secretary May 15. Thank you, Sherry, for accepting the position. We look forward to her work in the office. Thank Jana for a job well done and encourage her as she begins training for job at the autism clinic.

JOINT SERVICE: Mountain View Christian Reformed Church welcomes all to attend a combined worship service on Sunday, May 27, at 6 o’clock PM. The offering on that evening will be for the local Seafarers Ministry, both financial and supplies. The Seafarers have suggested jackets, hats, socks, toiletries, books, magazines (especially Christian), and good DVDs and CDs. We look forward to the opportunity to worship together.

OFFICE HOURS: Next week, the office will be open 9:00-11:30 Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday; and 7:30-10:00 Friday.

ROCK THE BLOCK: We need you to help us this summer! Please fill out the flyer and return it to the basket in the library. Extra copies are on the library table.

HELP WITH FUNERALS: The hospitality committee needs a co-coordinator with Donna Steiger to help with funeral fellowship time. If you are willing to help, please contact Mary Kok.
