CONGRATULATIONS to John and Anne Maas who will celebrate their 59th wedding anniversary on Tuesday, June 26!

DEAR BETHEL FAMILY: Thank you for the visits, prayers and love shown to our mom, Doris Vander Haak. She loved her church family. We appreciate your help with her service and the visits from Pastor Steve. –Tami Rylaarsdam, Kathi Jansen, Ken Vander Haak and Jodi Van Straalen

TONIGHT we will have a Praise and Prayer service. We welcome you to share a favorite scripture, song or how the Lord is working in your life.

FROM THE DEACONS: This morning’s offering will be for the Benevolence Fund. In recent months several significant needs within our congregation have come to our attention that we feel moved to assist financially. Please prayerfully consider how the Lord may be leading you to give to bless our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ.

ROCK THE BLOCK CARNIVAL:

Looking ahead to our Friday night Carnival on July 27! Thanks to those who offered games or activities on the volunteer sheets. Elaine will touch base with you soon. We have some other supplies we’d like to borrow, if possible. Check your garages for the following and let Elaine know if you have any of this equipment:

• Volleyball net and portable posts and ball

• 2 small soccer goals and ball

THANK YOU for all your contributions for Rock the Block crafts. We are still in need of glass gems and are biggest need is for 3 ½ inch lids like small sour cream or frosting lids. Please put your name on the lids if you want them returned.

NEXT WEEK we will celebrate communion.

Genesis 7.6-24 | The Flood

Introduction

• Big Idea: This passage reveals the horror of God’s judgement and heights of God’s love in the flood

1. The Characteristics of the Flood

• It is historical

• It has the highest level of intensity

• It is no respecter of types of people

• It is a window into what happens at the Final Judgment

2. The Justice of the Flood

• Think about how we have hated God

• Think about how we have hated salvation in Christ

• Think about how we have hated other people

• Think about how we have hated ourselves

3. The Ark of the Flood

• Noah was safe and shut in the ark

• Christ is our Ark

• This reveals how much God loves us

• Forgiveness and new beginnings

• Make the most of our time
