THURSDAY EVENING WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY invites any woman looking for fellowship to join us while we study Psalms 1-72. We meet every other Thursday in the Fireside Room at 7pm, beginning October 18. Contact Norene Van Andel by Sept. 30 so materials can be purchased.

LIFE GROUP: If you are interested in joining an existing small group or forming a new one please contact Yuanita.

FROM THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE: Using the few surveys turned in, we have decided not to offer an adult Sunday school class this fall. We encourage you to join one of the weekly Bible studies offered in the morning or evening. Please direct any questions or comments to an education committee member.

WOMEN’S RETREAT: We are excited for our upcoming retreat on March 22-23, 2019 at Cedar Springs. We are in the process of planning a great time of fellowship, fun and spending time learning more about our Savior. This is a great opportunity to make new friends and deepen current friendships. Our speaker this year will be Shilo Taylor. Look in your church box for our Save the Date card.

SEPTEMBER COUNCIL HIGHLIGHTS:

• Pray for Yuanita. Yuanita will decrease her hours to 30 per week beginning October 1 to begin her career in counseling.

• Pray for direction as Council continues work to simplify and refine Bethel’s Vision as recommended in our 5 Year Plan.

• Pray for guidance as Council focuses on discipleship training. What does that look like at Bethel?

• Pray for inspiration as Council seeks ways to better serve our congregation.

• Pray for Classis PNW Meeting scheduled October 11 in Tacoma.

CHURCH ON THE AVE. IN SEATTLE: Our sincere thanks for your help with the work days that we hosted this summer. So much was accomplished in this old building and we couldn't have done it without the extra hands.—Geoff and Ashley Van Dragt
