FAITH IS A JOURNEY – Part 9

I.    Volunteer for God’s ___________ and ___________ team.

At Iconium Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue. There they spoke so effectively that a great number of Jews and Gentiles

believed.                                                                                           Acts 14:1

But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up the Gentiles and poisoned

their minds against the brothers.                                            Acts 14:2

II.    Trust God’s _____________ and ____________ to succeed.

So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of His grace by enabling them to do

miraculous signs and wonders.                                                Acts 14:3

The people of the city were divided; some sided with the Jews, others

with the apostles.                                                                          Acts 14:4

III.    Follow God’s ____________ and ____________ the hurting.

There was a plot afoot among the Gentiles and Jews, together with their

leaders, to mistreat them and stone them.  But they found out about it….

                                                                                                         Acts 14:5-6a

…and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country, where they continued to preach the good news.

                                                                                                       Acts 14:6b-7

NEXT STEPS

1.       Pray for opportunities to help people to know Jesus.   Then, act on them as God directs you. He will show

you where to search and who needs rescued. Don’t

give up because it’s hard or you aren’t appreciated.

2.       Remember the on the job training God has revealed

of who you are in Him. For, you are a child of God

with the Holy Spirit’s power within you. So, He will

do whatever is necessary to achieve His purpose.

3.       Act on what God has said without reservation. For,

His orders will protect you and save the hurting that

need the Good News of Jesus. So, get moving as a

faithful and earnest volunteer search and rescuer.
