FAITH IS A JOURNEY – Part 15
I. Plan to revisit family on your journey.
Some time later Paul said to Barnabas, "Let us go back and visit the brothers in all the towns where we preached the word of the Lord and
see how they are doing." Acts 15:36
But now that there is no more place for me to work in these regions, and since I have been longing for many years to see you, I plan to do so when
I go to Spain. I hope to visit you while passing through and to have
you assist me on my journey there, after I have enjoyed your company
for a while. Romans 15:23-24
II. Prepare for disagreements with family.
Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia
and had not continued with them in the work. Acts 15:37-38
They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company.
Acts 15:39a
III. Pursue the strengthening of your family.
Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, but Paul chose Silas and left,
commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord. Acts 15:40
He went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
Acts 15:41
Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially
to those who belong to the family of believers. Galatians 6:10
NEXT STEPS
1. Make time to keep building on your relationships
with other believers as God directs and allows. Be
careful of out of sight and out of mind thinking. We
all need encouragement. Friends need facetime.
2. Don’t be disillusioned by conflict with a brother or
sister in Christ. It’s inevitable. But, God can use it
to help you grow and His Kingdom to be increased.
God wants us to handle conflict in a healthy way.
3. Intentionally pray for and work for the good of your
family everywhere you go or have gone. You may
not always work with the same people. But, God
wants you to have strong relationships that help the
believers and the lost to be attracted to Jesus.

The excitement is building. Be a part of the excitement while we create a whole new look for the foyer!
Please pardon our appearance during this transformation.
In recreating our foyer we have decided to part with 2 large plants. If you would like to take one home with you please do! They are on your left while exiting into the Mentzer Gap Rd. parking lot.

We are looking for Greeters for Sunday mornings starting September 13th for Back to Church Sunday. Greeters will look a little different then in the past.
A Greeter's description is:
1. Create a welcoming environment.
2. Offer coffee and make connections.
Greeters offer guests coffee and make connections.
3. Make introductions.
Greeters introduce the guests to the teacher/leader of small groups and Sunday School Classes. It’s helpful if the greeter and group members are wearing name tags.
4. Provide Welcome packet materials.
These are located on the Welcome Center stand along with a bulletin
5. Introduce the pastor.
Before or after the worship service the greeter introduces the guests to the pastor and other staff members as appropriate. Our pastor and staff really appreciate this because it makes follow-up on their part much easier as they can now place a name and face. Greeters can be some of the most important people to Blue Rock!!
See Stephanie Doell if interested-bluerockstephanie@gmail.com.
There is a sign-up sheet on bulletin board outside office.
