August 29, 2021                                                           Hebrews 13:1-8

CONFIDENT LIVING

I.  Love God’s church with _______________ and _____________.

Keep on loving each other as brothers.  Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without

knowing it.                                                                                        Hebrews 13:1-2

Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and

Those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

                                                                                                        Hebrews 13:3

II.  Let God build your _______________ and ______________.

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.  Keep your lives

free from the love of money and be content with what you have,

                                                                                                 Hebrews 13:4-5a

…because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

So we say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.

What can man do to me?"                                                    Hebrews 13:5b-6

III.  Learn to be grateful _____________ of God’s ___________.

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you.  Consider the

outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.       Hebrews 13:7

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

                                                                                                   Romans 15:5-6

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

                                                                                                      Hebrews 13:8

NEXT STEPS

1.       Recognize each Christian as a child of God worthy of

your love. Care for the persecuted. Resist gossip of

any kind especially with believers. Never hold back

concern for strangers so           you won’t miss out on    God’s messengers who are divinely sent for good.

2.       Put marriage on a holy pedestal whereby you will

not go outside of God’s boundaries for healthy

living. Resist loving anything or anyone more than

Jesus. Be content with what you have and you’ll

find that God will help, provide and protect.

3.       Allow God to teach you gratefulness for those who

are leading you to follow Jesus like they do. Then,

be careful to put into action what they are faithfully

modeling. Resist negativity towards His leaders

over you. Be sure that Jesus still blesses obedience.

Messy People: Life Lessons from Imperfect Biblical Heroes - Women's Bible Study

By Jennifer Cowart

God can turn your messy life into a masterpiece! - Every life gets messy at times. Whether it's a messy house or a messy situation, God can restore and use you. In this 6-week study of some messy biblical people, you will learn that God uses broken people, restores broken hearts, and helps us deal with the hard moments of life. Each session focuses on a different character.

We are looking for Greeters for Sunday mornings starting September 19th for Back to Church Sunday. Greeters will look a little different then in the past.

A Greeter's description is:

1. Create a welcoming environment.

2. Offer coffee and make connections.

Greeters offer guests coffee and make connections.

3. Make introductions.

Greeters introduce the guests to the teacher/leader of small groups and Sunday School Classes. It’s helpful if the greeter and group members are wearing name tags.

4. Provide Welcome packet materials.

These are located on the Welcome Center stand along with a bulletin

5. Introduce the pastor.

Before or after the worship service the greeter introduces the guests to the pastor and other staff members as appropriate. Our pastor and staff really appreciate this because it makes follow-up on their part much easier as they can now place a name and face. Greeters can be some of the most important people to Blue Rock!!

See Stephanie Doell if interested-bluerockstephanie@gmail.com.

There is a sign-up sheet on bulletin board outside office.

The excitement is building. Be a part of the excitement while we create a whole new look for the foyer!

Please pardon our appearance during this transformation.
