JOY TO THE WORLD
I. Jesus ____________ joy to the ___________.
They came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, that man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan--the one you testified about--well, he is
baptizing, and everyone is going to him." John 3:26
To this John replied, “A man can receive only what is given him from heaven. You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ but am
sent ahead of Him.' The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom's voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.
He must become greater; I must become less. John 3:27-30
II. Jesus ______________ to the joy of ___________.
"The One who comes from above is above all; the one who is from the earth belongs to the earth, and speaks as one from the earth. The One
who comes from heaven is above all. John 3:31
He testifies to what He has seen and heard, but no one accepts His
testimony. The man who has accepted it has certified that God is truthful.
John 3:32-33
III. Jesus _____________ eternal joy in ____________.
For the One whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without limit. The Father loves the Son and has placed every-
thing in His hands. John 3:34-35
Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." John 3:36
NEXT STEPS
1. Humbly accept the joy that come from trusting that
Jesus is the Christ. Humbly serve Jesus as the Head
of His Church family all over the world. Be a joyful
servant that submits to authority.
2. Accept the true testimony of Jesus that brings joy to
the heart of all who believe in Him. Continue in the
truth that God has given us in His Word. Pass it on
to the next generation of believers.
3. Place your entire life in Jesus’ hands with the joy
that comes from obedient faith in Him as your
Savior for all eternity. Help others to recognize
Jesus as the only way to eternal joy.
NO Youth Group on 12/12, 12/19, and 12/26.
NO Blue Rock Kidz on 12/22 and 12/29.
Waynesboro Human Services Angel Tree Project We will be purchasing gift cards for them to distribute to teenagers. Please place your donation in the box located in the foyer or you may put your donation in a green pew envelope (marked “Angel Tree”) and put it in the offering plate. Please make checks payable to the church. Contributions are due December 19th.
Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner will be held at the Parlor House at 11:30 am on December 21. Meal will be family style with two entrees. Cost is $5.00 ($18.00 for guests). Cash to Karen Daywalt. Please bring a $5.00 gift to be used for a game. We MUST have reservations by December 15th.
The Children of Blue Rock would like your help in collecting mittens, gloves, hats, scarfs and socks for all ages. Decorate the tree in the foyer with your donation! This will continue until January 9.
Sound Techs Needed are needed for Sunday Morning Services. Please see Pastor Greg, if interested.
Offering Receivers: We will no longer be needing receivers for the offering come January. Volunteers are needed to be greeters in the lobby. See Stephanie Doell if you are interested.
Free Plants: There are two plants (vines) between the double doors that are free for the taking.
Bulletin Board Creator: With the 2022 just around the corner, there is a sign up sheet in the hallway, if you would like to create/decorate the monthly bulletin board.
Tithing Boxes After an in-depth discussion to encourage online giving and to put in tithing boxes, the Executive Leadership Board decided to go with the tithing boxes instead of passing the plates. The ELB philosophy behind the boxes is that there will be an improved flow in the service and volunteers freed up to serve in other areas. This will start on January 1, 2022. However, the boxes will be installed soon and then could be used as people choose. But, we will transition to them completely as of the new year for all of our donations.
How to Give Online: We encourage you to begin giving through our new online giving platform, Faithlife Giving. It’s easy to make one-time and recurring gifts, plus view your giving history.
Simply go to www.bluerockchurch.org and click ‘giving’ in the top right corner of the webpage.
or text “Give” with the amount (e.g. “Give $50”) to 717-200-4911 and follow the prompts. For a recurring gift, you’ll need to create a Faithlife account so you can keep track of your giving methods.
Please contact the church office if you have any questions. Thank you for being part of what God is doing at Blue Rock Church!
Clearstream: Opt into the Blue Rock Church Wide text service for
updates on church services, new events, prayer requests and weather related matters.
With Winter Weather approaching, it will be the fastest and most accurate way for the church to communicate with the congregation.
Test Bluerock to 94000, you will receive a text back asking for your name to verify the number.
CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR JESUS
Throughout the Advent season, Blue Rock Church will be
receiving a special offering called: Christmas Gift for Jesus. This fund will be utilized to continue the effort to replace the non-working air conditioners in Fellowship Hall. With climate control the room will be more comfortable and help with other issues as well. Please use one of the green envelopes and mark it Christmas Gift For Jesus and place it in the new tithing boxes or in the offering plate. The tithing boxes are located on your left coming into the sanctuary through the double doors and in the small hallway exiting the front of the sanctuary. Please consider giving to this very worthwhile cause as you plan your giving. For, as God gave His best (Jesus) to us. May we give back out of love for Him and our neighbor?
