It’s What God Thinks That Matters!

It’s What God Thinks That Matters!

Jeremiah 29:11“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope”.

Far too many people fail to value themselves because of their poor self-image. A lack of self-respect puts us at risk of entering into unhealthy relationships.

Remembering how much God values us keeps our focus on Him and increases our belief in our self-worth.

“Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows”Luke 12:6,7

God wants to be near us always, and He’ll never abandon us. A strong relationship with Him affects how we relate to everyone else. When we struggle and the world makes us feel unimportant, we can remind ourselves how God sees us.

Psalm 8:3When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

4 what is man that you are mindful of him,and the son of man that you care for him?

We are truly, very important to Him! When life turns harsh or painful, and we feel small and insignificant, seeing ourselves through God’s eyes gives us a proper perspective. Making a conscious effort to remember what God thinks of us can make a tremendous difference in our mental outlook.

Our outlook affects our daily attitude. Our attitude and outlook affect all our relationships and everyone around us. God wants only the best for each of us.

When we stay close to The Lord and meditate on His Word, it gets in our heart. When we start to see our self as God sees us then we realize nothing else really matters.
