From Edna: “Bills mom passed a couple of hours ago. We will let you know when arrangements are made.” Please keep the Millers in your prayers.
    1. Please pray.

Bill Miller’s mom had a heart attack yesterday. She was able to have a stent put in one of her main arteries late this afternoon. Thank you Lord! Seems to be doing well.

My friend Karen's son, Thomas Pruett, is undergoing testing for an autoimmune disease where his body produces too many white blood cells and damages blood vessels leading to different organs in his body. He is currently hospitalized in Oregon while the doctors make a final diagnosis and treatment plan. He has a wife and 4 small children at home.
          1. Please pray.

Thomas, the son of my friend, Karen, is in the hospital in springfield, OR with covid induced pheumonia which has infected his heart and GI tract. The doctors are most concerned with his heart as their is some damage and pumping efficiency has been compromised. He is making a slow, but steady recovery and likely will be hospitalized for at least 2 weeks.
            1. Update on Thomas. Today, he is completely off the oxygen and was able to move around his hospital room. He is responding well to his heart medication and small possibility he could go home tomorrow. The family thanks everyone for their prayers and asks for additional prayers for his continued recovery.
            2. Update on Thomas. He was readmitted on Dec 17 for swelling & shortness of breath related to his heart failure. He had a heart catheterization which showed that there was no more damage to his heart. Hid medication in being adjusted and he should go home soon. He is being referred to a cardiac center in Portland Oregon for a followup.

Just wanted to let you know that John Blount passed away today. Please keep Edith and his family in your prayers.
            1. Please pray.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that we got a note from Edith Blount late last night. John is in hospice care and is expected to pass away anytime now. Edith asked for us to notify the church and pray for her and the family. For those of you, that may not know them the Blounts are longtime members of Cardinal Drive. Because of health concerns they have not been able to attend since COVID. Their son-in-law, Patrick Odum, is the preaching minister at the Northwest Church of Christ in Chicago.
              1. Hi Edith, I think about you and John once in a while sorry to hear about John, I will be praying for you both. Love to you, Martha Olson

Our neighbors for 30 years, Tom & Terri, are going through some very stressful times right now. Tom is currently hospitalized & their only son, Andrew, has been recently deployed. Terri is under a lot of stress dealing with Tom's on-going health issues and is concerned for Andrew's deployment.
              1. Update on Tom & Terri. Tom had some type of surgery early in October, but which was ultimately successful. He has been home since just before Thanksgiving. His care is complicated and a home health nurse comes in at least weekly.
            3. Please pray.

Prayer update. My friend, Gabriele Doyle, has woken up and is still in ICU. She is currently comfortable and her lungs are improving. She is still very weak and will be moved to rehab as soon as she is strong enough.
              1. Gabriele is currently in rehab in Moline, IL. She has been able to successfully walk across her room in rehab with a walker. Her ankle infection, which kept her bedridden, has cleared with antibiotics.

Please pray for my friend Dave Pawson from Texas. He was just diagnosed with leukemia. Pray for healing and that God will use this to bring Dave into a close relationship with our Heavenly Father.
