Nursery -  The nursery is open but not staffed for the 8:30 AM service. A short lesson is offered during Sunday School in the nursery for birth through 3 years of age. Childcare for birth through 3 yrs. is available during the 10:30 contemporary worship service. 

 

Children’s Church - Children’s Church starts at 10:30 AM in the activity center. Children age 4 thru 5th grade should immediately go to the activity center before the contemporary worship service begins.

 

Sunday School - Classes are provided for adults and children of all ages during the 9:40 hour.

Prayer Room -Tuesday

The prayer room will continue to be available to anyone on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 –7:30 PM. Please feel welcome to come and pray on Tuesday evenings during the designated time.

 

 The Screwtape Letters

This study is for High School age youth. They will be studying the Screwtape Letters by CS Lewis. This small group will meet on Wednesdays starting on September 25th at 6:30 PM here at Central Christian Church in the loft. If anyone needs a ride either call or text 812-890-5735.

 

Bus Drivers Needed!!!

If you have a CDL with a bus endorsement or would like to obtain one, please contact Tim Zehner. Testing requirements are getting stiffer on February 1st.

 

Women’s Retreat

New Hope Christian Church in Bridgeport, IL is offering a Women’s Retreat on Saturday, October 12th. The meal will be at 5 PM with the service to follow at 6 PM. All ladies are invited for an evening of food, fellowship, worship and reflections from God’s word. The theme of the retreat is “Can you Relate?” which is about striving to grow our relationships with God, friends and family. Worship will be lead by Brooke Fishbaugh and the guest speaker will be Dee Ann Schnautz. The cost of the retreat is free! Child care is not available and the freewill offering will go towards the local Fish and Loaves Program. You can register at www.newhopegps.org/womensretreat2019 or call 618-945-9363.

 

Fall Family Fair  October 26 2-4 PM

Mark your calendars for an afternoon of fun with your kids! Central will be hosting a Fall Family Fair for the community and the children of Central on Saturday, October 26th from 2-4 PM. Games will be provided along with snacks and prizes during the afternoon.  Volunteers are needed to make this a successful afternoon. Please see Roger Kiser II if you can help in any way.

 

Minister Search Team

If you would be interested in serving on the minister search team please talk or text Tim Zehner at 812-881-7610.  You must be a church member and signed the church covenant.

 

Nomination Ballots & Annual Reports

Nomination ballots for Elder, Deacon and Trustee are available at the Welcome Desk. Ballots must be turned into the office or given to an

Elder by October 27th. Also the Team Leaders of every Ministry team must have their annual reports and budgets for their team to the church office no later than October 27th. 

 

Parents Night Out

Central is hosting a Parents Night Out on October 18th from 5:30 –8:30. This will be for children ages 3 years through 5th grade. Parents will need to send a sack lunch with your child. The children will be in the activity center for the evening and if you would like to book a spot or for questions please call 618-240-1075 or 618-554-4803. Parents Night Out is open to the community!
