Mission/Goal
Church in the Pines exists to bring the Bible to Life, that people might trust in Christ, develop godly character, and be spiritually equipped, so they might be released for ministry, in the power of the Spirit, for the Glory of God. We have summed up this Mission in this way: Bringing the Bible to Life for a Life Well-Lived.
Purpose
We endeavor to purposefully meet the challenges of our mission as a family of seekers through prayer, preaching, teaching, and studying the Holy Scriptures discovering together the truths that lead to a maturing life in Christ Jesus. We are guided and led by the elected Pastor, Elders and Deacons allowing the Holy Spirit to empower individuals to know and use their spiritual gifts for building-up the body of believers. Our Worship Services express core beliefs giving all honor and glory to God in Christ as Savior and Lord leading to fellowship that is full of grace and mercy for all who come. By faith, we are reaching out to the Wareham Community and communities beyond in different areas of service with the evangel of God’s love, healing forgiveness, and restoration.
Our Congregation
Our congregation is composed of blue and white collar families from cranberry growers to educators and notably long-standing family members whose relatives built the church. There are several surrounding communities represented including those who identify as summer residents. Average attendance is 100
Affiliation
We are an evangelical non-denominational church believing God in Christ to be the head.
Our Hope
In particular, we have put our hope in God and purchased approximately 20 acres of contiguous property in the Towns of Carver and Middleboro adjoining Wareham with the ultimate goal of building a larger church to meet our needs and hope for growth. The land has been thoughtfully developed to accommodate outside worship and fellowship. We are gradually impacting others with the love of Christ in outdoor services and activities. Our further hope is for continued ongoing discipleship and shepherding within the body keeping our eyes on Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith and the Promise of His Return.
