"Heavenly Father, we come before You, our refuge and strength, asking for Your divine guidance in our lives and in the life of our church. You know our hearts, our hopes, and our uncertainties, and we trust that Your ways are higher than ours. Lord, send Your light and truth to guide us; make Your paths known to us. Quiet the noise of the world and help us to hear Your soft voice, leading us to do Your will. Give us the wisdom to discern Your best path, not just the easiest, and the courage to walk it, trusting Your hand even when we cannot see the outcome.
We also pray for this congregation, that we may gladly receive, wholeheartedly support, and continually encourage these leaders in their ministries. Surround them with Your protective love, grant strength to their families, and guide us all in unity and purpose. We ask this through Jesus’s name, our Lord, Amen."

What is The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen. Amen.

Join us as we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Teamsters Local 667 in Memphis actively honors Martin Luther King Jr. Day through longstanding traditions that highlight Dr. King’s connection to labor rights and the 1968 sanitation strike. Each year, the union participates in a commemorative march from North Main and A.W. Willis to the National Civil Rights Museum, often beginning with a ceremony led by Local President James E. Jones, Jr.
These events serve as a time of reflection, recognizing the sacrifices of the sanitation workers and reaffirming the ongoing fight for dignity and respect in the workplace.
- 8:00 am – Opening Ceremony by Teamsters Local 667 Begins in the Park at N. Main & A W Willis Ave.
- 9:00 am – MLK Memorial March From the Park to the National Civil Rights Museum
- Noon -2:00 pm – Mid Day Luncheon at Centenary UMC
