Leader: Come, all who speak God’s Word and serve His people!
People: We dedicate our minds, our mouths, and our ministries to the glory of God.
Leader: Remembering the faith and labor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., God’s faithful servant,
People: We worship the Lord and commit ourselves to His work of justice, peace, and love.
Leader: Let us rejoice in God’s presence and labor faithfully in Jesus’ name!
People: Praise be to God, the Author of our strength, hope, and mission.
Heavenly Father, we lift our hearts and voices to You in praise, for You are holy, righteous, and full of mercy. We thank You for Your unfailing love, Your wisdom that guides us, and Your Spirit that empowers us to labor faithfully in Your vineyard. Lord, we are grateful for the calling to proclaim Your Word, to teach Your truth, and to serve Your people. Grant us unwavering faith as we labor in this pulpit, courage to speak boldly, and hearts overflowing with Your love, so that every word and action may glorify Your holy name.
We remember Your servant, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who, through faith and tireless labor, worked for justice, peace, and righteousness. Inspire us, O Lord, to follow his example, to labor not for our own praise, but for the advancement of Your kingdom, and to bring hope to the weary, strength to the fearful, and Your light to the world. All glory, honor, and praise belong to You, in Jesus’s Name we pray. Amen.

What is The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen. Amen.

Join us as we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Teamsters Local 667 in Memphis actively honors Martin Luther King Jr. Day through longstanding traditions that highlight Dr. King’s connection to labor rights and the 1968 sanitation strike. Each year, the union participates in a commemorative march from North Main and A.W. Willis to the National Civil Rights Museum, often beginning with a ceremony led by Local President James E. Jones, Jr.
These events serve as a time of reflection, recognizing the sacrifices of the sanitation workers and reaffirming the ongoing fight for dignity and respect in the workplace.
