Leader: As we begin this season of Lent, we come, turning our hearts back to God.
People: We come seeking renewal and deeper faith.
Leader: The Lord calls us to walk in love and mercy.
People: We open our lives to God's transforming Spirit.
Leader: Let us worship the God of grace and truth.
People: Let us worship God together!
Loving and gracious God, as we step into this new month, we pause to give thanks for the gift of life renewed and the hope that comes with each beginning. Lent calls us to reflection, to turning our hearts toward You, and to growing closer in Your presence. We confess the times we have been afraid, stagnant, or unwilling to follow Your call. Forgive us for when we cling to comfort rather than embrace Your transformation. Grant us courage to let go of fear, pride, and old habits that keep us from fully living as Your disciples. Fill us with the light of Your Spirit, that we may serve others with generosity and humility.
Teach us to see Your presence in the ordinary moments of our lives and to find rest in Your steadfast love. Renew our hearts, our minds, and our spirits, as the early signs of spring remind us of new life breaking forth. Guide our steps, O Lord, that we may walk in faith and hope, sharing Your grace with all whom we meet. May our worship, our work, and our daily living reflect Your love and mercy, and may we leave this place ready to act as Your hands and feet in the world. Through Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray. Amen.
All: Amen.
What is The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
Amen.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen. Amen.
