Announcing a 20% discount on all Logos Discourse books and databases until 11/15!
There have been a fair number of questions about features like the historical present, redundant vocatives, forward-pointing references, and more. All of these features are marked up in the Logos discourse databases, and each one comes with an introductory volume that walks you through what each one does and how it can help your bible study.
There are English versions called the High Definition New or Old Testament; these display the analysis of Greek or Hebrew on the ESV text. There are also original language versions (Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic) which come bundled with the HDNT or HDOT.
It's been a while since we've run any specials, so here is a discount code for 20% any of the Logos discourse resources, including the High Definition Commentaries! Use discount code GNTDBSALE at checkout, discount is good until 11/15. At the top of this page there is a video overview of these resources: https://www.logos.com/product/3888/lexham-discourse-greek-new-testament-bundle.
A Personal Appeal: If you have benefited from these resources and the interaction here in this FL group, and would like to see more like these developed, please recommend them to your friends. My team is at a crossroads regarding 2016 projects. We need your help in getting the word out about these resources. The more interest there is in the existing resources, the higher the priority new ones will receive. I don't normally make appeals like this, but your help in spreading the word would be greatly appreciated! Many thanks!
Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament Bundle (6 vols.)
Our understanding of the Greek New Testament is based almost entirely on English translations, but how would our understanding of the Greek text change if we read it for what it is, as Greek? With the Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament, we can now get behind the words of the New Testament writers and discover the particular linguistic tasks that inform translation and interpretation. The Lexham Discourse Greek New Testament identifies discourse markers and performs complex discourse analysis of the entire New Testament quickly, easily, and accurately, which makes it one of the most advanced tools for studying the Greek text of the New Testament.

- Although you mentioned the English versions in your post, the coupon code failed for me with the HDNT (ESV Edition): is that intentional? You also mentioned that the discount is good for both Discourse books and databases: which are the databases? -Pete P.S. – Thanks for your videos: your enthusiasm is uplifting, and often brings a smile to my face : )
- Hi Pete, I checked and the code should work for the HDNT, which is a database. Was trying to exclude the video projects. Regarding the code, my bad. I entered the SKU for the CD version (which no longer exists) instead of the download, it should work now. Many thanks for pointing this out! SER
- Did you mean by "until 11/15" that discount would _not_ be valid on 11/15? I guess that is what "until" means, but I'm accustomed to coupon expiration dates being the last usable day, so I was surprised this morning when the coupon code wasn't accepted. Funny be having such a discussion with a linguistics scholar : )
