About
The "Community Study Bible" is an on-going effort to create an electronic Study Bible consisting of notes entirely from members of the Faithlife Community. This project relies on the Faithlife community (and in essence, "crowdsourcing") to come together to share insights on Biblical passages across the entire Bible. The goal of the "Community Study Bible" is not to replace the on-going Faithlife Study Bible that the Faithlife team is producing. Rather, it is a means to supplement the Faithlife Study Bible with additional content from the community. The two complement each other. The Community Study Bible serves as a means to extend the on-going content in the Faithlife Study Bible from content contributed to by the Faithlife community. Faithlife staff and editors of the Faithlife Study Bible are welcome to use this group as a means for inspiration for content for the Faithlife Study Bible as well. It's a similar concept to Wikipedia, just in a "Wiki Study Bible" format. Users wishing to contribute notes on biblical passages can use the "Community Notes" feature in Faithlife to start a note on a biblical passage using this group. Users can also use the "Discussions" section to discuss Biblical passages or insights together that pertain to topics users do not wish to post as a "formal" Community Note.. This group has the potential to be an exciting and edifying project for the Faithlife community, and I look forward to us all further engaging in our study of God's Word together!
