The Sunday Morning Worship

Come, let us worship and bow down; Let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. Psalm 95:6

June 30, 2019                                                                                     11:00 A.M.

Prepare for Worship – The stiff and wooden quality about our religious lives is a result of our lack of holy desire. Complacency is the deadly foe of all spiritual growth. Acute desire must be present or there will be no manifestation for Christ to His people.   A.W. Tozer

Prayer and Petition: “The Broken Heart”

O Lord, no day of my life has passed that has not proved me guilty in Thy sight. Prayers have been uttered from a prayerless heart; Praise has been often praise-less sound; My best services are filthy rags. I appeal from the throne of perfect justice, to the throne of boundless grace. I am guilty, but pardoned, lost, but saved, wandering, but found, sinning, but cleansed. Give me perpetual broken heartedness, and keep me always clinging to Thy cross through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

SILENT PRAYER & Private Confession of Sin

Assurance of Pardon

For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. Is. 57:15

Climbing higher, growing in Grace

“When we first believe in Christ we see but little of him. The higher we climb the more we discover of his beauties. But who has ever gained the summit? Who has known all the heights and depths of the love of Christ which passes knowledge?

“Paul, when grown old, sitting grey-haired, shivering in a dungeon in Rome, could say with greater emphasis than we can, ‘I know whom I have believed,’ for each experience had been like the climbing of a hill, each trial had been like ascending another summit, and his death seemed like gaining the top of the mountain, from which he could see the whole of the faithfulness and the love of him to whom he had committed his soul.

“Get thee up, dear friend, into the high mountain.”

C. H. Spurgeon
