- Jennifer, Lilyan, Seth, Cynthia, Reagan, Noah, Aaron, and Hannah. One adult and seven teenagers will publicly profess their faith in Christ through baptism tomorrow morning. What an amazing day of worship it will be for them and us! There will be baptisms in both services -- just after the first song. We hope you will be here as we celebrate with each one and their families.
- Have you ever found yourself praying something for months, maybe even for years and it never happens? What about decades of asking the Lord to please do something, but as far as you can see, He never moves in what you asking for IN FAITH and with SINCERITY. A part of the Christmas story is the assurance that God is alway at work. He never sleeps. He never takes his eyes off his children. Today is going to be a great day of worship. We will pray for some of our own about to leave on a mission trip. In the second service, we will celebrate the baptism of Lorie Melvin. We will sing. We will pray. We will study God's Word. We will worship. We invite you to join us at 9 or 10:45 am.
- WE'VE DECIDED TO POSTPONE THIS SATURDAY'S LOVING LILLINGTON EVENT BECAUSE OF THE COMING WEATHER "Based on the projected amount of rainfall we are expected to get on Friday and Saturday we think that we will need to postpone Loving Lillington. The whole point of this event is to help as many people as we can with both their physical needs and their spiritual needs. If our turnout is very low because of the weather we will not meet that goal. For these reasons the team has decided to postpone the event. We hope to reschedule for November. We will let everyone know as soon as we set the date. We thank everyone who signed up to volunteer and hope that you will still be willing to help with the rescheduled event." Please help us get the word out. We'll see you soon, though, on a different day that doesn't involve the remnants of a hurricane!
- Hey everyone. We're having a workday tomorrow, 8:30-Noon. Most of what we are tackling relates to a fire marshal inspection we had where multiple issues were flagged. You can look at the attached file to see the specifics. If you have an hour or 3, come on by and help us knock these things out. Thanks!
- We invite you to join us tomorrow for a great day of worship and celebration. The biggest thing to call your attention to is that we will have ONE worship service at 10:45 am. Over the years, we have seen God raise up and call many out of our church into vocational ministry. One of those, Thiago Bitencourt, will bring the morning message. Thiago is pastor of Unity Baptist Church in Youngsville, NC. He and Jessica were members of Crossroads in the years she was a student at Campbell Medical School. Immediately following the service, we will enjoy a wonderful catered meal and a Celebration program in honor of Ken and Vanessa Dalton's 25 years of ministry at Crossroads. They would love to see and visit with you!
- It is a great spiritual tragedy to believe you have salvation because you are a member of a church, or because your parents are great Christian people, or because you were born in a Christian-majority country. Paul, in 2 Corinthians 13:5 calls us to “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith.” He was speaking to professing Christians! J. Vernon McGee said, “I believe in the eternal security of the believer and in the insecurity of the make-believer.” What is your actual position before God? Are you eternally secure in Christ, or tragically insecure because you are trusting something other than Christ alone for salvation? Tomorrow, Pastor Ken will preach on what he considers the most important message from our 6 month journey through 1 Corinthians – “Preparing for the Final Exam”. Pray for yourself, pray for others who will be in the services, and prayerfully invite someone to join you at 9 or 10:45 am.
- What would happen if every day, when you got up, you asked a question, "Who will I seek to build up today?" Paul's passion was Christ and His Church. His heart was to see people saved and set free from their sin so they could live in the joy of knowing and serving Christ. Today, Pastor Ken will bring the next to the last teaching from our series on 2 Corinthians. Join us at 9 am or 10:45 am for worship.
