• Helping Others By Cleaning Out Your Closet

Have you cleaned out your closet lately? Those shoes that have been sitting there unworn and ignored for the last few months, or maybe years, actually have great value for Christ-Centered Solutions. CCS has partnered with Funds2Orgs for the month of January to collect gently worn, used, and new shoes for those in need. We’re looking for all types of shoes: sneakers, boots, dress shoes, sandals, athletic and casual shoes. We're asking folks to pull out the shoes they don't wear anymore and donate them to CCS. We are also asking churches in the Charleston SC area, and churches in the Wilmington area to have a Shoe-Drive Sunday in January.

All the shoes collected will be bagged and sent to developing countries to help others in need. By giving, you'll be making two donations at once and it won't cost you anything, except maybe some time cleaning out your closet. When you donate, not only will you be helping others in developing countries, but you'll also be helping Christ-Centered Solutions minister to fellow believers, pastors, and their families who benefit from the ministry of CCS, (to learn more about the impact your donation will make, please follow this Funds2Orgs link).

For churches who choose to participate, Christ-Centered Solutions and Funds2Orgs will provide you with collection bags.

If you'd prefer to drop your shoes off during the week from now until the end of January, please contact Rod via email or phone and he will make arrangements with you on where to drop your shoes off. You can reach Rod by phone in NC at 910-399-6714, in SC at 843-829-0970, or by email at rwest@christcenteredsolutions.org.

If your church, Sunday school class, or small group chooses to help with our fundraiser, here is all you need to do. 1) Choose a Sunday in January and drop your shoes off, or take the whole month to collect. 2) Contact Rod to let him know your church or group has chosen to participate, and the date of your Shoe-drive Sunday so he can get you the supplies you'll need. 3) Be sure to tie your shoes together by the shoelaces, or use the rubber bands provided by Funds2Orgs and Christ-Centered Solutions. And 4) Pray for those who will receive your shoes, and pray for the ministry of Christ-Centered Solutions.

Thank you for ministering to those in need!
