Sunday, November 21st at 5PM we will be having our Church wide Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner. We will be having our brothers and sisters from the ROCK join us! It will be a combined fellowship to get to know each other and break bread together! We are very excited about this and hope you will join us!
Sign up sheets are posted on the bulletin board in the fellowship corner of the foyer. Please let us know your name and how many will be joining you as well as sign up for food to bring. We look forward to fellowshipping with you this holiday season!
Women's Bible Study
We are starting up a new women's bible study on November 16th and 19th. We will be doing a study on the book of 1 Timothy. There will be 2 different days during the week for you to get an opportunity to attend. Tuesday evenings at 6:30 lead by Bekah Pawlowski and Friday mornings at 10 lead by Debbie Wuthrich. Both groups will be doing the same study and both will be meeting here at Dishman.
We need your help putting the Christmas decorations up this year! We will start our decorating on Saturday, November 27th @9AM.
Letter From The Evans Family
The Evans family wants to express our deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love and support we have received from the congregation and leadership at Dishman through Chuck’s recent health crisis. Your kindness and generosity have helped us focus on the task-at-hand, our recovery from the physical, emotionaland spiritual battle we have been engaged in for the last several months. We greatly appreciate the financial support, gifts, words of encouragement and affirmation we have received, but most importantly, we thank God for the prayers lifted to Him on our behalf by you. Knowing that people were praying for us helped us get through this in ways you may never know. Chuck’s recovery has been nothing short of miraculous and he has gone back to work! God is good!
In this season of our lives, we believe the necessary course of action is for Chuck to resign as an associate pastor at Dishman so we can have the margin in our lives to continue to rest, heal and invest in our relationships with the Lord and help our kids in their young walks with Jesus. Being bi-vocational makes it hard to balance priorities and we have been comfortable with an unacceptably low standard for too long. So, as Chuck is no longer serving as the worship leader, we thought it best not to draw our transition out longer than necessary, so at the beginning of December, our family will transition to worshiping with another body of believers. This is to make room for those who have stepped into Chuck’s roles and to afford us the opportunity to rest.
Again, we desire to express our deepest gratitude to the congregation and leadership at Dishman for the last two years of ministry. We pray that God would use Dishman in powerful ways and that His presence would be seen and felt among you all.
