Greetings

Good afternoon. I hope that this newsletter finds you in good spirit and good health. As we navigate through this unprecedented time, please take to heart that God is in control. Remember to pray and trust the Lord. Psalms 29:11 says "The LORD gives his people strength; the LORD blesses his people with peace." Let us not be like King Asa, "who didn't seek the LORD, but only the physicians." (2 Chron. 16:12) We should absolutely appreciate and encourage our physicians, don't get me wrong, but they too are dealing with something that they have not seen in their lifetime. God, however, knows the outcome, the why, and the when. In the same book (2 Chron.) we see Hezekiah who "became sick to the point of death, so he prayed to the LORD, who spoke to him and gave him a miraculous sign." (2 Chron. 24) His pride stopped him from responding to the sign that God gave him, and wrath was upon him, Judah, and Jerusalem. But, he humbled himself from the pride in his heart, along with the people of Jerusalem, and the LORD spared His wrath from them during Hezekiah's lifetime. Let us examine our hearts as well, to remove any pride or sin that keeps us from leaning on God. Though we are away from each other, take this opportunity to grow closer to God. Remember Paul's words from Romans 8:38-39: "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, not angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
