for the Week of February 14
Lord's Day Worship 2

Join us for worship this Sunday morning. The passage for the sermon will be Hebrews 9:1-10 with our Old Testament reading being from Zephaniah 2:10-15 and the responsive Psalm from Psalm 36:1-6.

You can also view the service via our webcast at our website, YouTube Channel, or Facebook Page.

2021-Kids Choir

The Kids' Choir will be singing this Sunday morning. Please have students to the Fellowship Hall by 9:15 to warm up and practice.

2021-Lawn Mower

The Consistory has approved the purchase of a new lawn mower/snow blower for use at the church property. The new model John Deere X734 will come with a deck, bagger system, snow blower and an upgraded broom for the sidewalks. The cost to purchase the new model outright is $18,550. The old model John Deere can be traded in but we would like to see if members of the congregation have interest in purchasing it from the church instead.

We would like to offer the 425 John Deere up for sealed bids. If you would like to participate, please bring a sealed bid to one of the deacons. We will open the sealed bids after the church service on February 28th and announce the winner after that point. Below is the description.

1993 John Deere 425

Also, If you would like to make a donation for a portion or the entirety of the new John Deere, please see one of the deacons or make a specific note on your donation.

Thanks

The Deacons and Consistory would like to make a special thank you to our church family for the continued support and giving throughout this previous year. COVID has brought much uncertainty and even the closing of our church. Despite all of this, our congregation continued their faithful giving. We are truly blessed with the church family we have.

Announcements Wood

Donation Sale: EDGE Youth will be doing a silent auction in March. We are looking for donations, if you have anything you'd like to make, or put together a basket of goodies, let Diane Brockberg know. Thanks so much!

Food Shelf: The decision has been made to move the food shelf into the current library and the library to a new location over the next few weeks. The library has numerous old hymnals, some with names of past members.  We would like to donate these old hymnals to a charity but first we wanted to give the congregation the option to take a hymnal home. If you would like a hymnal, either stop in the library or talk to one of the deacons.

Note: Also as we started to clean out the library, we came across some of the centennial white coffee cups. If you would like to have one, we will have a few placed by the coffee bar that you may take. Otherwise talk to one of the deacons and we will try to find one for you.

ROYAL FAMILY KIDS CAMP is seeking volunteers to help with camp! If you have a heart for kids and can give five days of your summer, we want you to serve alongside us at this special camp for kids in the foster care system. Training will be held possibly Saturday morning, June 19, or Monday evening, June 21. Camp will be held locally from June 22-25, during daytime hours. To apply, go to Facebook and search for SWMN Royal Family Kids Camp. You’ll find descriptions of all volunteer opportunities the camp has to offer (under GET INVOLVED post), then click on the staff application and fill it out by February 28. All full-time volunteers and child guides will need an application and a background check (which we will facilitate). Please consider joining our team! If you have questions, don’t have Facebook, or would like a paper copy of the application, please contact Nicole Fey (507-290-0838), Shellie Eisma (507-227-6581) or Erin Van Hulzen (507-227-7951). Join us in confronting abuse and making moments that matter for the foster kids in our area!

Easter Cantata

The Chapel Choir will be practicing a cantata for Easter. We would love to have you join us! Contact Jessica or any choir member with questions. Hope to see you Wednesday night at 7:15 p.m.

Soupless

Due to continuing Covid-19 health concerns, the RCW 2021 Spring Soup Supper will again be “Soupless.” Instead of donating food, work, and a free-will donation for a meal, please take an envelope from the display board by the Welcome Desk. Kindly return it with your donation to the box near the display by March 7. Your donations support our mission shares, which need to be fulfilled, regardless of the pandemic. Thanks for your help and generosity!
