What do we believe?

"I adore and glorify the Son of Majesty, the Enlightening Mind, Christ King: he who came forth from the outer Aeons into the upper region, and from there to this lower creation; and who incomparably announced His wisdom and the ineffable mysteries to the people on earth, and who showed the whole universe the Way of Truth, and who gave this interpretation with all voices, and who distinguished Truth from lie and the Light from darkness and good from evil and the righteous from the wicked. From You every grace has been known to the universe, and life together with the Truth is being interpreted to every nation with all voices. He Himself became, for living souls, the Redeemer of the oppression of hostile bonds. I worship and glorify the Living God, virtuous and true: the one who with His own Power raised up all things, this upper and the lower region."

The Prayer of the Emanations

We have a dualistic understanding of the created cosmos. In the beginning, there were two uncreated principles, one of Light and one of Darkness. Before anything was created these two opposing principles were separated until the kingdom of darkness became aware of the light and desired it. This epoch of time is termed the “first time”. After desiring the kingdom of light, the evil principle then took steps to try and subdue and conquer the light.

This led to a battle, which resulted in the mixing of light and dark, creating a third space between the two uncreated principles. A gray area, where all of creation has both light and evil mixed within its very being. This epoch is called the middle time, which starts from the time the cosmos came into being.

God has sent many messengers, to awaken humankind to the reality of their being. To name a few, we believe that Seth, Abraham, Enoch, Buddha, Zoroaster, Jesus, and Mani were all sent to us by God. We believe Mani to be the seal of the prophets, as all the messages proclaimed before Mani are fulfilled in Mani's teachings.

The current age is moving quickly to a new age we call the “third time”, which will be a restoration of all things to how they were before our coming into existence. But it will be different because evil has been defeated, God ensnared the evil principle within this very creation. Thus, at the end of the age, the cosmos will burn in the purifying fires of God for a thousand years. In the end, all the light that is still trapped in creation will ascend to the kingdom of God.

The evil principle will still exist but has been made impotent through the work of Jesus Christ. As Christ taught, he has bound the strong man and has plundered his goods. An allusion to the defeat of darkness and the release of all the divine sparks from their material prison.
