Thank you to all who purchased flowers and made donations to Waynesboro Community and Human Service. Our altar looked beautiful and we raised $211 for WCHS. You can see the memorial bulletin here and it will also be included with your June/July newsletter. Thank you!
COVID-19 MODIFICATION CHANGES
As things improve and vaccination rates rise in our county, we are grateful that we can make a few adjustments to the modifications that have been in place during Worship. The Pastors are no longer wearing their masks when speaking during worship. They will continue to wear them at all other times during the service. Also Children will be invited to sit in the front middle pew during the Children's Message with parent permission. Starting in June, we will have lectors at both services. We will also have volunteers give the Children's Message when "Donkey" isn't available. We are still asking everyone, even those who have been vaccinated, to continue to properly wear your mask. Also if you attend Worship, and you test positive in the following week, please contact the church office. We want to do our best to keep everyone informed if they may have been exposed. GROUP MISSION TRIPS—ENVELOPE FUNDRAISER
This summer, ten youth and three adults from our congregation will embark on a journey to Chatanooga, TN to serve the community by helping with home repair projects. We have started an envelope fundraiser with the potential to raise $2550. You can find envelopes hanging in the choir hallway marked with dollar amounts in two-dollar increments ranging from $2 up to $100. We are asking that you consider taking one of these envelopes and return it in the offering box or mailing it to the church office with your donation (for checks, write “Group Mission Trip” in the memo line) in the dollar amount on the outside of the envelope. There will also be a note card in the envelope for you to share encouraging and inspirational messages for the youth, which we will compile and share with them while on the mission trip. Blank envelopes will also be available if you wish to donate an amount of your choosing. If you are not attending in-person worship at this time, and would like to participate, please contact the church office to request an envelope. In the past, our youth have held many interactive fundraisers and we truly miss those opportunities to be in community with our congregation. We thank you for your consideration and participation in this COVID friendly fundraising alternative. If you would like your donated amount to be included in your yearly giving statement, please include your name with your donation.
Join us for in person worship Sunday mornings at 8:00 AM & 9:30 AM. Communion will be offered at both services. We will continue to live-stream our 9:30 AM service to both our Facebook page and our YouTube channel . The live stream will start at 9:25 AM on Sunday so you can enjoy Debbie's beautiful Prelude before the start of worship. If you are unable to join in person, please continue to join virtually! You can download a copy of our May 30th bulletin here so you are able to follow along at home to our virtual 9:30 AM service.
