Two new "book clubs" will be starting October 4th. We are in the process of obtaining the books for distribution for those of you who want to participate. In "Faithlife Giving", there have been two categories added to cover the costs of the books. These two donation funds will run from September 6th through November 30th. They are labeled "Sensible Shoes reimbursement," and "Immerse Bible: Beginnings reimbursement." Suggested amounts to cover the book costs are: "Sensible Shoes," $20.00, (covers book and study guide,) "Immerse Bible: Beginnings" $11.00 (covers the cost of the book.) IF you do not want to reimburse on-line, you may also write a check, and mark the check memo for the appropriate book(s), OR, if cash, please place in a marked sealed envelope!!
    1. I am interested in the Sensible Shoes Book Club..am I understanding from the description that this maybe 4 sessions?
    2. The story is a spiritual journey between 4 women. it is a visual story that desires to bring us to understand key spiritual practices. Challenges our thinking, practices, and our own relationship with God. The pace we read this book will not be as a normal book club. It requires us to dig deeper to understand where the writer is hoping to mentor us to be as a women of God. “The characters become windows and mirrors into seeing ourselves more clearly.” Her story writing unfolds many perspectives that need to be sifted through. I am very excited to read this together. I have read through them once; the impact of this story is valuable.
    3. Thanks, Sherry, for the clarification on this! Hopefully this answers most everyone's questions!

We are pleased to announce that all the equipment is in place, and we have transferred our on-line Sunday Worship service over to our Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church YouTube page. The link to access our YouTube site is: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa2p-jOY8sDDNAGffUrWv5w. It has also been added here on our "Emmanuel CRC Faithlife Activity Page", (under "recommended links," in the sidebar,) and our website (emmanuelcrc.com) links have also been up-dated with the changes! During testing to get this set up, it was noticed that there is a great improvement to both the video and audio quality of the broadcast, which was the goal of making these changes. Many thanks to Terry Kapteyn and Mike Togtman for their efforts to get this underway!
    1. Thanks guys!!
    2. So thankful for all your work!!
    3. The sound was much better. Screens are very hard to read when letters are light -colored.
