About
There is so much out there today that purports to be Christian that non-believers have difficulty knowing what is and what is not in fact Christian, new believers have difficulty discerning the principles on which their faith needs to be built from false principles that will cause them difficulty later, and that mature believers, who for whatever reason find themselves unable to attend a local church, are challenged to find provisional forms of edification in the online community until they can return to their regular church community.
Faith-Hope-Love.Life is geared toward three specific audiences.
First, is the new believer. I want my material to be understood by the person who is new to the Word of God. I want them to know that they can understand what is written, they can find answers for difficult questions, and that the effort in the pursuit of Biblical truth is valuable. I want it to be able to help them understand what is being communicated in the scriptures.
Second, is the non-believer. I want the same for the non-believer as I do for the new believer but additionally, I would like the non-believer to see that there are reasonable people who have put their faith in Jesus as the Messiah and what that means. I want them to know that we too are wrestling with the difficult questions and that we have found our answers in the Bible in such a way that they have to wrestle with our own reasonable and loving approachability.
Finally, I want to be a place where those of us, because of work or other life situation, have difficulty making it to church on a regular basis can come for encouragement and edification. I want this to be a community for believers who need edification through those times in which they cannot make it to church. This of course means that in addition to the basic concepts and principles that will meet the needs of the first two there will need to be sprinkled through my content more substantial materials for the third. That material is what will ensure that the new believer has the opportunity to grow and mature in their faith as well.
In short, Faith-Hope-Love.Life is geared toward making the Bible approachable and understandable in such a way that people are encouraged to grow in Christ. This is not intended to be a replacement of the local church but rather a supplement to the local church.
