If you have food allergies, email Pastor Ben at We will attempt to accommodate, within reason.

Following Saturday lunch, we will head over for trap and skeet shooting at the Fennville Rod and Gun Club, located at 2503 49th Street, Fennville. This is not included in the cost of the retreat, so come prepared.

  • Each round of shooting is 5 shots at 5 stations, or 25 shots (equal to one box of shells)
  • Cost is $4 per round (plus tips for the ‘Puller’ are customary, as it is a nonprofit, all volunteer club)
  • If you are unable to bring your own guns, the club has some available to use
  • You can bring your own shells, or you can purchase from the club at $10 per box
  • Any other shooting you would like to do while you are there is up to you to arrange. Their website is

We will have a professional knife sharpener with us Saturday from 5:00-6:00 PM. Sharpening is FREE to you, to however many we can fit in during that hour. If you are interested in this, bring along ONE BLADE PER PERSON to the retreat. The hope is that everyone who wants to can have one blade sharpened.

Adults: $25

16 and under: $10 (Note: There is no age minimum. Feel free to bring younger boys if you think it appropriate and profitable. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or supervising adult.)

Sponsorship is available if the cost is burdensome. There is also the option to work in a capacity in exchange for registration fee. For that, see Pastor Ben, 906-204-0430.

To keep things simple, cost is the same regardless of lodging options, as well as for those not staying on-site overnight Friday and Saturday.

Cash (exact amount) or check (made out to “First Baptist Church”) can be paid beforehand or is due upon arrival. Money can be given to Kyla Bullers or Steve Knoll.
