If you’ve ever said, “You can be a Christian and not be a part of a church” then you NEED to hear and see what the Scriptures say. Today we discover how REALationships between disciples of Jesus demonstrate God’s Presence to our watching world.

Rather than jockeying for position, Jesus expected His disciples to OUT-SERVE one another, just as Jesus had done for them. 

Jesus’ love for His disciples was real & relational = REALational.

Jesus spent TIME with his faith family. They didn’t just meet once a week. They spent hours and hours together each week. They ate together, went to weddings together, ministered together, prayed together, and relaxed together.

Others looked at the lives of these followers of Jesus, seeing their love for one another, and said, “I want some of that!”

Is that how people in OUR community - view US? 

Are we modeling lives that make them think, “I want some of that!”?

OR do they think, “There is no difference between them and everybody else.”

One attracts, the other distracts. Which are WE going to be about?

• Home Groups - Ask Christy or Jackie about forming some new groups.

These open-ended questions are designed to help you LIVE what you LEARN with your Family, Friends, or Small Group.

1. What questions, answers, or challenges did today’s teaching stir in you?
2. Read John 13:34-35 & Acts 2:42-47. Talk about some of the ways the early church out-served one another. How did their lives impact the surrounding culture and how does that fit with what Jesus said?
3. Take some time to read back over all the Scriptural commands & descriptions of what it means to love one another. Which of these does your group or church do well & need to improve on? 
4. What are some victories we can celebrate, and what are some struggles we can pray through together?
5. Who are some folks we should reach out to help establish REALationship with and who will contact them this week?
6. How are you actively involved in SERVING with the Church & beyond? If you aren’t, share a way you think you could serve well.
7. Take a moment to encourage each other. Share a characteristic or action that you appreciate about each other. Then pray together and let’s go live it!
