- ReadA New Season
Hello church family. I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. Today (Nov 27th) at church, we'll have our FFC Thanksgiving dinner. We've got turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, pie and so much more.
Today is also the start of the Advent season, a time of anticipation as we await the coming of Jesus, God in flesh. I do hope you'll all join in this season full of hope and wonder.

Presence in this season
This fall has hit quickly with wind storms and rain and even some snow. It seems an abrupt change in both weather and routines here in our family.
As many of you know, I have picked up a second job and am busy juggling church, school and now this new job. But in the midst of the business and the storms of the season, I am finding sweet times in the stillness of God's presence. Sometimes it is in the quiet of late night awakenings when the house is still. Sometimes in a slow-start morning watching the rolling fog or falling leaves. Of course, he is always near. But there are times and spaces where I have a stronger sense of being with him. Where are you meeting God these days?

Well, after a long, wet spring, I believe we may start to see some summer weather. (At least I hope so.) Our family had a lovely vacation last week in Eastern Washington and we are ready to be back with our church family.
We start back with a BBQ at Lake Padden tonight and there will be another on August 14th. We'll have all the necessary fixin's for burgers and dogs. We'll have Ice tea and lemonade to drink. Feel free to bring a side if you'd like.
Friday night campfires resume at the Krantz house at 7 PM. We just hang out enjoying sweet conversation and roasted marshmallows. Some of us are reading through the book, Faithful Presence by David Fitch but most just come to relax and visit.
I pray you are taking time to rest this summer and get outside to worship the God of Creation in the beautiful PNW.
Love and Peace,
